Episode II: Prep Mission
Alexander quickly swiped his key card in front of his apartment door, and it opened with a whoosh. He had left straight to his apartment after Ikora had dismissed them from the meeting, and he wasn't keen on hanging around with his new teammates, at least, not yet.
Walking inside, he quickly noticed that something was different about his home; it seemed...clean. Looking around he saw a small yellow note on his kitchen counter. As he walked closer to it, he noticed that there were words written fancily on it. It read:
Thanks for the fun night, I'll see ya around Hot Shot. ~Vanessa
-P.S. I hope you don't mind, but I tidied up your place, it was a bit messy.
Alexander smirked as he placed the note back on the granite counter top, "Jesus Alfred," he spoke to his Ghost floating next to him, "you were right, she's not bad."
"I told you Sir, quite the catch." The Ghost replied.
"Yeah, well hopefully I see her around..." the Hunter walked into his bedroom and began getting the supplies needed for the mission. "I don't know, you think I can handle a relationship?"
"It has been a while since you've been settled with anybody, Sir. I'd say three hundred years at least. And you aren't particularly a--people person. But that doesn't mean the option is off the table.."
"Yeah...sure. Well, I don't have to worry about that now. I gotta get my shit together before my new "teammates"' he made air quotes with his fingers, "come and drag me out to inevitably learn how I fight. I mean, I'm not against the idea--"
"You sound against it, Sir."
Alex glared up at his Ghost. "I mean, it's good to practice before a mission, but c'mon Alfred, these guys are emotionally unstable which makes their behavior unpredictable."
"That is true, Sir, however I think it would be wise to give them a chance, let your hopes up a little."
Alexander shook his head as he began gathering his ammo pouches and other necessities for the mission, "You're a smart Ghost, Alfred, smart, but annoying."
"I try, Sir."

It had only been an hour after the meeting before one of the Guardians from Alexander's team came knocking on his apartment door. The chosen Guardian, much to his own disdain, had been Argus, and he was just as happy about the entire situation as Alexander was, which was not very much at all.
Alexander's voice grouchily rang from behind the door, "Who is it this time?"
"What an asshole." Argus thought. He did his best to clear his throat, which was difficult because he was an Exo, "It's me Blisk."
"Oh, well in that case...-blam!- off!"
"As much as I would like to not be here right now, I cannot leave." Argus sighed. "Abigail sent me, and she wants you to join us on a Cosmodrome Patrol."
"Does she now," the door scanner beeped and the door slid open, with Alexander already dressed in his combat armor. "I suspected something like this, only I thought it wouldn't take you Rooks so long. Alas, tell her I'm on my way."
Argus looked down at the Hunter, "She wants me to escort you there, in case you try to--"
"Escape?" Alexander finished. "Where would I go? Haha, don't worry, big guy, I know I'm an ass, but I won't bail on you guys, you could use a steady leader right now anyways."
"Yes, we could." The Exo agreed as he and the Hunter began walking to the Tower Plaza. "Abigail wasn't always our leader, but once Marcus and Torr went missing, she took it upon herself as her responsibility."
"I noticed. What happened between them anyways?"
Argus laughed, a deep and rumbling sound, "You mean that wasn't in your files on us, Blisk? No? Well, then you should ask her yourself when we get to them."
"I'm not so sure she'd be willing to talk."
Argus glanced at the Hunter, who walked with a solemn face, "She will if she knows you care."

Abigail, Dave, and Kate were waiting next to their vaults in the Tower Plaza. They were each prepared for the patrol mission in the Cosmodrome, and now they were waiting for Argus and Alexander to return.
Abigail was impatient though, "I swear, I will roundhouse kick that Hunter if he doesn't show up with Argus soon."
Dave laughed, "You don't like him, do you?"
The Warlock shook her head, "He's arrogant and rude, we don't need help from someone like that."
"Why don't you tell him yourself," Kate, the other Warlock, said, nodding her head in the direction of Argus and Alexander.
"Hello ladies...and Dave." Alexander said as he got closer, grinning ironically.
"I was able to retrieve him." Argus grumbled, walking to his vault and getting his desired gear.
"Clearly." Abigail said flatly. "Listen, Hunter, we are going to the Cosmodrome, and we are going to scout around, maybe get some patrol beacons. Whatever we do, we're doing it my way, understood?"
"Yep, sounds good, just don't get shot, and we'll be fine. Oh, and the name's Alexander Blisk, in case you don't remember for next time, Warlock."
Alexander pushed past her to get to his vault, and from it he retrieved his beloved cloak: Ghost Angel and the legendary Hand Cannon from the mysterious Vault of Glass, Fatebringer. The armor he wore was from the Trials of Osiris--a renowned event which he seldom participated in with groups of eager, glory-seeking Guardians--except for his helmet, which held a single, glowing Vex eye in its center.
After donning his gear, Alexander and the other Guardians went to the Tower Hangar, where their various jumpships waited for them. After ensuring all systems were working properly, the Guardians climbed into their spaceships and boomed off to the snowy plains of the Cosmodrome.
