I appreciate you trying to bridge the divide between the playerbase. Unfortunately I feel like the biggest factor here is the fact, in addition to using two charges, wombo combo has to be a great deal more precise in its execution, entails actually looking at the person you're doing it to, and doesn't track. Firebolts can be thrown around a corner, tracks (as in homing, not the DoT "tracking" that lets you see them through walls) every class apart from nightstalker, in addition to the insane 14 seconds that it takes you out of the game. One shot and a firebolt and you're done. It doesn't matter what class you are. You're dead, end of story. Ask yourself how many times in the crucible you actually get killed by wombo combo. How many times do you get killed by a firebolt? Sunsingers are on every single competitive team for a reason. They alone set the subclass cap in sweats.

IF you consider sunsinger op because of firebolt, the same can be said about nightstalkers and wombo. You bring up sweaties right? Well if were talking about THAT level of play, top tier players will make both classes JUST as effective against eachother. Those players will know how to counter sunsingers more then abover averagr and below. I personally think both classes are balanced, that each have their drawbacks and that they are direct counters to eachother. Also to bring up that its "one shot plus grenade is dead" is irrelevant. Most grenades will be the same. "
How many times do you get killed byb wombo vs firebolt"
Before ttk? Firebolt. After ttk? Tbh firebolt hardly ever kills me, im used to it, the DoT in my opinion is what lets me stay alive; why i say that is because a warlock generally uses firebolts to prime people/doorways, which means if i get tagged, hes to far away to get the kill, or ill rush and kill him before the burn gets me. Wombo i cant get out of once im stuck, whenni do its because im walking slowly, all the while the hunter can track me with keen scout, im getting damaged and since hes faster then warlocls, he can secure the kill faster Anyways, i dont think either is op, you just cant consider one to be and not the other. https://youtu.be/VM-SwPcMIwE
