Wombo combo is using a melee and a grenade. The melee charge with envemoned does less total damage than all the other charged melee abilities. All of them.
I don't get the crying that a SMOKE grenade blinds you or slows you down.
Go get hit by any other classes melee and grenade at the same time and see what happens. Oh, that's right you die.
Firebolt gives an auto targeting grenade that can leave an entire 3 man team absolute for 10-14 seconds while letting you track them.
Nightstalker can get a few players on heavy if they are close enough to the center of the smoke and are in the grenade damage range which requires you to have both your grenade and melee up while landing both of them at the correct distance in order to get them stuck in the smoke to allow for the grenade to do damage.
Nightstalker is anti sunsinger class and you really need to look at is that they have the worst PVP super in the game and the worst selection of grenades of any subclass.
Wombo combo is good if you are accurate with it. I consider myself to be a pretty good player and most of the time I don't get the wombo just right to actually get the kill. There is a skill gap.
Ive adressed many a post like yours.
1) i dont think either is op
2)this isnt a comparison of which is stronger but a comparison to show that they are BOTH stronger then other grenades.
3) Stop downplaying every advantage nightstalker have. You are literally justifying it to fit your point of view yeeeeeet exaggerate and point out all of firebolts strengths. Thats ignorant.
4) Dont bring up tracking in any way, shape or form. Nightstalkers have that ability to do it without doing damage or doing a little damage AND it lasts longer then firebolts DoT allows. It also gives you a red indicator instead of just grey '7's' that appear.
5) firebolt does not kill ever, 4-5 other grenades do way more damage.
6) Ease of use is subjective to the user.
7) highly skilled players will make both classes work just as effectively.
8) Firebolt is prevalent because of its AOE style damage. Casual/average players will make the same mistake over and over allowing the firebolt user to anticipate their actuons and allowing thrm to use the grenade more effectively.
8a) Ex: the sunsinger and enemy engage in a gun fight, both do damage to eachother, the enemy grabs cover around a corner. Instead of pulling back and baiting the grenade that will follow, they stay, the firebolt then tags them and now theyre complaining about how long it burns. The same thing can be said about snipers; yes, A.A is a very big factor in destiny, but when people peak corners multiple times, rush the same lanes and get killed.. its not because of "auto aim", its because of not adapting.
9) You cant sit there and deny wombo combo has amazing potential and still think your argument will hold.
10) sunsinger has been around from day 1. Meaning players have had alot of time to develop a playstyle and tactics with it. Along with so many posts about firebolts and sunsingers, many have hopped on to the bandwagon, making sunsingers seem rampant. When everyone realizes the potential of Nightstalkers and their capabilities, you WILL see them become a force to reckoned with. Especially if they dont fix shadestep glitch.
