Doubt they will tell us what's going on would ruin the "excitement of the reveal".

It is possible that they might reveal this in the sandbox update stream but I have to admit faith in Bungie was a feeling that evaporated quickly after launch day.

Yah if it's not explicitly stated I don't trust it and even then we can't from prelaunch lies and slips from unprepared presenters (Poe checkpoints)
