Old Gear is Great & All, But Where's the New Exotics?
Before I start, yes, it's great Bungie found a way to make some old content relevant again, which is what many have been clamoring for. But there's still the matter of the new exotics to discuss.
As of now, Hunters have 4 new exotics, Titans have 4 , and Warlocks have 3. It seemed that each class were to receive 6 new exotics by the end of Y2, with some being found in the Armory. But wait, come September, Y2 will transition to Y3 with no significant updates other than the Spring Update (that you've mentioned), which will only reintroduce 13 old exotics. (They might still show off some on Instagram, but more than likely not, as the updates are done for today).
Where are the other 7 new exotics then? If you watch the trailer above, you'll clearly see some of those missing exotics that were advertised for Y2. You'll see Astrocyte Verse, Ophidian Aspect, and Transversive Steps. What happened to them? Are you sure you'll release them before Y3, or will they come in the next paid expansion? That's not to mention Shinobu's Vow, Frost-EE5, Thagomizers, & Dune Marchers. Also, what is the reasoning behind bringing some exotics to Y2 such as Eternal Warrior & ATS/8 Arachnid and not Vex Mythoclast, Nechrochasm, Gjallarhorn, Thorn, Pocket Infinity, etc?
Again, I'm glad that at least Bungie made some things relevant again, but you can't help but wonder where are the other old exotics or the newer ones that were advertised? Some of us just want some transparency regarding stuff like this, that's all.
