This is all just useless speculation. Who says we aren't getting any of these with the update? They don't have to publicly invoke something by name for it to be in the game... and there's this little thing we call "surprises" that make the experience more fun.
Or would you all rather get everything up front and complain about having nothing left to look forward to?

Ha! Don't tell me you legitimately believe that they are saving these as a surprise. If they were releasing the exotics they would be the centrepiece of the update since it's the only new content coming. Everything else is re-skinned weapons and rehashed level design that's been "takenified".

Edited by GrundleBeans: 3/31/2016 5:03:16 PMWho are you to say how they ought to do anything? They never showed No Time to Explain, then a month or two later there was suddenly a new quest marker for people allowing them to get it. They never showed any exotic class items either. They can reveal or not reveal whatever the flying fvck they want, when they want. If you're not open to the possibility that they simply didn't mention them on purpose, then you're just being negative and close-minded.

Muted for stupidity

Lol what are you talking about? They said in a game informer interview that the strangers rifle would have an exotic version and factions would now provide exotic class items and the ability to pledge allegiance to them.
-
Edited by GrundleBeans: 3/31/2016 5:22:00 PMShow me the interview. I could be wrong about those particular things, but I've never seen or heard of them saying that and I tried to keep up to date with everything around the TTK release. But regardless, that doesn't prove they have to say anything. If they want something to be a surprise, that's a valid prerogative for them to have. It's not a harmful lack of transparency to want to delight people with positive surprises. Some people just don't like surprises, and that's their problem, not everyone's.

This was back in August when Gameinformer did a cover story on TTK. Read The Life of the Exotic to see them mention that No Time to Explain is an exotic upgrade to The Stranger's Rifle that shoots arc bullets.

Edited by GrundleBeans: 3/31/2016 7:07:48 PM"...I suspect there may be more exotics I didn't glimpse." You realize that's not an announcement by Bungie, right? It's just a writer for a magazine that got to visit their office to get an advanced look? Bungie never said on any of their platforms about No Time to Explain prior to TTK. Look at their Instagram and you'll see that prior to TTK release they showed a bunch of Exotics and none of them were No Time to Explain. Any mention of it was third-party. Also No Time to Explain doesn't shoot Arc bullets, contrary to early reports. A perfect example that you can't assume everything you see or hear is exactly what you're going to get. "As for new exotics, many of them are now tied to involved quest lines..." A glimpse into how exotics weren't guaranteed immediately.

Edited by Sage 13: 3/31/2016 7:28:15 PMHey, you just asked for proof of where they mentioned No Time To Explain in the GI article & I provided it. I'm not attacking your thoughts on this or anything, nor was I one of the OP's attacking you. I merely strolled into here, say you ask for proof, and I tried to provide it. You may be right, and this may all be speculation. Hopefully there are some secrets in store. But, also hopefully Bungie can be more transparent and mention whether there are secrets or not, or is this all that's going to release.

Over the time of TTK though, exotics have slowly rolled out. I'm sure that "eventually" these last few exotics will start rolling out. From the looks of most of the exotics that's left.... I'm in no rush lol
