Doesn't matter which is more interesting. The Exotics were in a commercial for a product. /end I can't think of too many "finished game" commercials I have seem where something changed this drastically/impactfully. E3 demos, yes. Actual commercials for a game or DLC that comes out in the next month or so (the usual advertising time frame before launch), no, not really. I do recall seeing game (and other product) commercials that have fine print on the screen that said product is subject to change and I don't recall that being in this commerial. Again, this is a commercial, not a game demo. One is a work in progress. One is advertising to get you to spend money. This is not a hard concept as you say about the next item. Neither you nor I know what actually did or did not exist. In my argument, I at least have visual evidence of said items being used and a strong implication of them existing, fully realized. Your position seems to be "i pulled this out of thin air" argument with no even anecdotal evidence. Not a hard concept indeed.

 •
Doesn't matter which is more interesting. The Exotics were in a commercial for a product
It does, because they won't waste commercial time on something boring. Where were all the TTK commercials advertising the gunsmith? There were zero, because explosions are more interesting.
I at least have visual evidence of said items being used
You have strong visual evidence of them existing visually. If I build a fancy-ass box and tell you it's a teleporter, without turning it on, you have no reason to believe me. Similarly, we saw none of the predicted effects of the exotics in the trailer, only that their models exist. Thus, it could very well be the case that the art department finished their work, but the game designers were still working on the perks.
