Exos On The March

Welcome to Hell. Take a seat, have some tea. Or oil. Or fire. Or anything else. Comfy? Good. Exos on The March The day was glorious to the City. Well mostly to the citizens living in said City. Right under the big ball over them called the glorious Traveller. The glorious savior that protected the scared and helpless people. Such a true beacon of hope it was to the people. Today was a good day. "Are you ready, people??" An excited voice boomed across the hundreds of people who were crowded together. An echo of cheers was their answers, a chorus of joyous cries that made people's hearts soar. Why were they screaming like rabid animals you ask? Well currently on this glorious day, a giant stage was made overnight in the center of the City. By who, nobody could figure out but some seemed suspicious of many Hunters scattered around the newly built stage sleeping and nursing various bottles of alcohol. No they just seemed tired is all. After the sleeping Guardians were collected by very terse Titans, other Guardians came bustling in with various items which were placed behind the stage. Yet no matter how much the people prodded and asked, no news was given out about what was going on. Of course a stage being built so suddenly got attention. By the afternoon, the area around the stage was packed with people and vendors all wanting to see. Now, they all stood with barely concealed excitement when finally a Guardian stepped onto the stage holding a microphone. "Alright! Today we are housing special performances by the Guardians of the City!" A roar of applause rang out, and the Guardian bowed slightly. "Now let's get on with this! Introducing two Gunslingers with an 'amazing trick while we were drunk?' Well then..." The Guardian quickly left the stage, footsteps hurried as two Hunters stepped up on the stage. "I'm running for the hills. Tell someone to bring in medics after this." Was all they said before they were gone. Meanwhile the two Gunslingers were eating up the attention like greedy sponges. After a few minutes of cheering, the crowd went deadly quiet. "Alright Del let's get this act on." One of the Hunters said, the other nodding in a agreement. With a brilliant flash, two fiery guns appeared in both their hands and the Hunters quickly took aim at each other. Civilians started to turn around to run but was stopped when the guns went off. The bullets of solar energy clashed together in mid air, exploding and creating a shower of red and orange sparks around them. Two more times the Hunters pulled the trigger, before the crowd went wild. "Thank you!!" One of the Hunters shouted, jumping off the stage with their cloak burning. Warlocks were quick to put the fire out, laughing all the while the Hunter lamented. Next was three Titans, two Strikers and a Defender that stood with purpose. Then the Defender Titan activated his Ward of Dawn, and the Two Strikers activating their Fist of Havocs at each other inside the bubble. The Arc energy zapped across the air and created a deadly yet beautiful light display from within the Defender's bubble. Once more the screams of joy rang out. No one heard the scream of pain though when the Defender got electrocuted but that was fine. The Titans then walked off stage, pounding their chests and giving shouts of victory. A hushed silence came again when one Hunter, an Exo stepped up with a tuba. Then a small round of applause went out when the beautiful melody carried around them. Many people closed their eyes, basking in the moment. But hushed whispers broke out when some people saw that the Hunter was not even playing the instrument. "Is he playing a recording?" "He's playing while pretending..." "Those Titans should come back up stage." Their suspicions were confirmed when Cayde-6, Hunter Vanguard stepped up on to the stage and smacked the Hunter on the back of the head. The music still played as the Exo cursed and promptly left the stage when Cayde pointed to the back. "Nice try Raphaël. Now shoo. Let a pro show you how it's done." And with that, Cayde pulled out a flute and began to play. Moving his fingers deftly like an experienced player, the crowd went wild once more. Cayde only chuckled before waving to the crowd and disappearing. The citizens all had a good day after that. Many more Guardians appeared, each showing off their talents and amazing techniques. Some people openly cooed at Zavala as he presented his croquet with a handful of Titans. Ikora presented a brilliant display of space to the eye of the people with the help of her Warlocks. This went on until the day ended and the night rolled in. People slowly left, thanking each Guardian with praise and joy. The Traveler's warriors accepted the praise and left as well. All in all, it was a good day.
