Ok Bungie, time to talk. Take out the option for Sterling Treasure in Eververse. That is going to ruin the fun in the April Update. Why? Well, it seems like the Sterling Treasure is going to be a new item that people will grind for yesss? Why grind for Sterling Treasure when you can just buy it! Remember how the Gjallarhorn was the main item for grind in Year 1. What would've happened if you put a package behind Micro DLC that gave people a chance at getting it? People would waste their money instead of playing the actual game! So when you introduce a new grind in this update, what made you think to allow people to buy the grind? That defeats the whole purpose of playing to begin with! When people reach 335 there would be nothing for them to do if they bought tons of those packages. New gear like that will keep people coming back to the game, but not if you allow them to get all the items without stepping a foot outside the Tower/Reef. It even makes those items less valuable and less awesome when someone can just buy it just like that! What about the people, like myself, who are actually going to earn those items? Isn't that a bit unfair? Oh, Billy got $100 dollars from mommy and bought all the cool new gear, while I've been grinding for it since day one. Grinding is what made Destiny Year 1 fun anyways. So in reality, people are buying grind which eliminates fun. No more epic moments of finally getting the gear you longed for, just -blam!-ing buy it! This wall of text does my point no justice so I suggest you watch the video, but don't feel forced to. I'm writing this for your sake Bungie, not mine, this is a BAD idea...

Bungie should totally remove Sterling Treasure from Eververse. Who had that idea anyway? Defently one who is somehowe in charche about money at Bungie. This will definently weaken the game! Bungie you should work and think more about a disconnection between looks and use from armor.

I'll never forget the first time the Gjallarhorn dropped for me. Everything else in the game was anticlimactic.

Who cares if your stupid friend gets a full set of gear before you? These items won't change the game in the slightest, they are cosmetic... so in short, set your own bar and grind for them and just ignore the players that wasted 50$ to aquire the full set of each type... I truly don't understand you people. All literally bitching to just bitch...

Agreed. I just thought about this whilst reading the April update breakdown. Bungie, what happened to no pay to win? Obviously this grab bag of random loot is not guaranteed for winning, but destiny's biggest selling point is the loot and the collection of that loot. Some people will spend hours, days, grinding to get that gear. How is it fair that someone with a deeper pockets will have better chances of obtaining the same gear? The "win" part in destiny is getting that gear that your buddies haven't gotten yet. Seems like a pay to win situation if someone can just buy themselves all the new loot.

It's my understanding that yes you can buy the gear which is sadly BS, but it will drop at a light level 3. So they will still have to grind it out if they want 335 light levels. I started playing when house of wolves came out so I've had to grind to get where I am too.

Its only going to cripple the longevity of the game which in turn cripples the public opinion of the game. I can honestly say despite my love for the game I wont be bothering with the sequel at launch due to the way the current game is shaping up to be.

Yup. In hindsight, it's almost laughable that we had (and still do to some extent) a whole faction who wanted to get rid of Xûr "de-valuing exotics" while this was coming around the bend. It's even more amazing Bungie could manage to apparently pay so little attention to its forums that they wouldn't realize this is essentially committing suicide with a good portion of the playerbase, even those who weren't part of that faction.

I agree completely
