I'd love to see this. Destiny suffers from a lack of variety in high level gear, especially Exotic gear. With only a couple of types of armor in each category per class, you see the same-looking types of Guardians all the time. This was made worse when they decided to leave all of the Year One gear behind, limiting you to only the prescribed Year Two stuff. Imagine the variety we'd see if a Guardian could choose the look of a blue or even a green piece of chest armor that they thought looked really cool. Bungie already spent the time modelling all of this gear that nobody uses because it is weak in stats. We'd see some pretty different-looking Guardians out there! I think I understand their rationale for not implementing transmogrification so far. I remember reading a quote from Bungie where they said they wanted other Guardians to see your gear and immediately know where you've been. That your gear tells a story. I think that's an admirable rationale. But, so many people want to customize their Guardians to their full liking, and Bungie have already created so many assets that could make this all come true -- so why not do it already. I think of a space bounty hunter like Boba Fett, and remember reading how all of his gear and gadgets were specifically hand-picked and chosen by him to get the job done. I feel like we should have the same freedom to customize all of our gear the way we see fit, so that we can get a little creative, and feel even more invested in our Guardians and Becoming Legend. Just my thoughts :)

I had a full suit of sojourn gear that would be very happy with the dust wiped off it. Same with my VOG gear! Those boots were my favorite. Some of the old gear would tell a crazy tale for a lot of us seasoned vets!

 • You raise a good point! I mean, you still went there and got the gear at some point. Doesn't transmogrification work like that? Like, you need to already have obtained the piece that you want to use the look of? So I mean, your gear (or its appearance) is still telling a story.

 • A new player could see you somewhere on patrol and seeing you with gear from outside the tower can say a lot about your character. A lot more than any grimoire value.
