Your point makes no sense.
We're a year and a half into this game. Everyone has gotten used to sniping. It's like this in every game.
They do take "skill" and a lot of people have gotten their skill level up.

Do they take skill. Yes. I belive it is the least skilled special currently. Fusion Rifles. Pshhhhhhh have you used one they have a high learning curve. Shotguns are extremely dificult to close gaps with. Without being shot by TLW. Using a sniper aggresivly on the other hand takes high skill. Sadly people do not often play that way. It is not so much that snipers are op it is that everything else has been nerfed to the ground.

Fusions are crazy, but I love telesto. I stand by the observation that as time progresses more people have gotten used to sniping. I'm sorry, but I don't consider closing gaps to be skillful. Not as much as getting head shots with snipers. In games, snipers will always have the ability to dominate from any range. I assume you played Halo?

Sorry I could not reply, I was in church. Yes I have played halo. When closing the gap using a shotgun (excluding party crasher and conspiracy theory) you must first get in a spot that gets you close enough to rush without dying. Then rush and hit spot on then retreat and repeat. Also a sniper is very consistent while shotguns are not. (after being needed to the ground)

They don't take skill.

They do

As expected, another well thought out counter-argument that I couldn't possibly respond to.
