Snipers require the prediction of your enemies more so then shotguns. With a shotgun, knowing the pathways and where to jump over lines of sight is very prediction based. However with a sniper finding the head level, and knowing the exact line of sight your enemy will come out is the type of prediction skills that way surpasses a shotgun. When playing against smart players, you will find they will go to lines of sights that are more rarely used-- they will also jump over the more popular lines of sight-- This creates a higher challenge for snipers, we must predict lines of sight based on the people you play, while taking both vertical, and horizontal movement in mind. Fusions require the same prediction state but with a further range at the cost of a delay. This is indeed "prediction" However charging your fusion before peeking a hallway to ensure you hit your target is the equivalent to pre-scoping a hall way before you engage. However if you miss your shot with a sniper, you will not get your kill. Depending on the range, a good fusion rifle will be capable of one shoting at ranges 5-8 times that of a shotgun. This range actually nears the most common sniping range for skilled snipers. Proof of Fusion capabilities: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-GqqU-D4C8 With a bit of luck, and skill a fusion will be able to one shot-- like a sniper body shot-- At ranges that are averaged as close range sniping. My evidence proves that shotguns don't require as much forethought (prediction) and fusions are actually situationally overpowered at the cost of a delay. (With practice this Delay can be trained in the same way a snipers target acquisition can) Fusions and snipers are close in the sense of needing to predict enemy movement and acquisition. But snipers prove to be ahead of Fusions in that sense because snipers are a pin-point weapon, rather then a wide spread shot. I agree with lot's about what you are saying. But I felt the need to list the evidence. Prove me wrong, I dare yah.
