We are kind of getting it? The sterling treasure gear is a minor form of it. The stats transfer over, not necessarily the perks though
If it's coming it won't be until Destiny 2. The memory on Destiny on last gen consoles is getting really close to maxed out.

BS...a straight transmog system would be truly as simple as the update that gave us the 'helmet always on toggle'....

It nowhere near it. Transmorgrification involves changing the appearance entirely not just tweaking some colors

It could be framework for it. But instead of making us reclaim gear we already have Bungie should let us transmog our old right?

I played MMO's more back then than now, but I know what you mean. I played this one game where the gear with no stats and no armor, but it was the best looking armor ever. So used the transmog and got so many compliments. I know it's something we should have, but until last gen is dropped (Destiny 2) there's no way it will become a thing. There's no memory left on last gen to implement something like that. I'm surprised Bungie had room for more vault space.

BS, a straight transmog system in this game would be as simple as the "helmet always on" toggle update...the real reason it's not in the game is they have to decide how to monetize each change of appearance...
