I know this is a far stretch but how bout creating a separate system between pvp and pve in terms of damage calculations and reactions to environment. So when someone says "Nerf the warlocks" or "Doctrine is op" take the stats and the statement from your customers (that's us bungie) you can Nerf or buff or balance out in one game mode but not in the other. Now I understand from a coding standpoint especially from the old system this is nearly impossible but just a thought for destiny 2

I've been saying this since early Y1.... PvP and PvE elements being tied together ruin the balance for PvE (seeing as to how they only seem to improve 'balance' in PvE). A prime example was the hellish nerfing of the Mythoclast. It needed to be balanced for PvP, yes, but it was a rare gun and should have had that nice shiny edge of supremacy in PvE. I don't like nerfing old guns tbh.... They can all have relevance, with different and actual 'new' perks that make the guns not more powerful, but interesting and have an advantage unique to that gun.

I agree with this and I have thought about this since year one but with the way the system is now as far as using old gen the config for PS3 and Xbox 360 would be a hellish undertaking to say the least so I somewhat understand why they don't do it now because of destiny 2 not that far off (in comparison of hours played already) but still if they don't do it destiny 2 I won't play a bungie game for a long time regardless of any other aspect of its making

Exactly what they need to do. Different games, pve and pvp, should have different guns and armor.
