Dark Souls is made out to be this ridiculously difficult game with bosses that will annihilate you again and again.
I've been playing Dark Souls for the past week or so, and I've come to the conclusion that the majority of players are simply overselling the whole thing to make it seem like it's nearly impossible to play.
The only reason I can imagine this game being nearly as difficult as everyone claims it to be is if someone isn't at all noticing and adapting to enemy attack patterns, or if they're taking on areas or enemies that they're entirely unprepared for.
New Game+ and beyond, however, may be different, but I've yet to experience that for myself.
What are your thoughts? Is it as hard as people say, or is it all just a huge over-exaggeration?

I've played and beat all the souls games and bloodborne at least to ng+4 and I have to say that the enemies will become a lot harder than the bosses. The damage spike on higher playthroughs is ridiculous. However, the most powerful thing in any of them is lag in pvp lol. But yeah, I find the enemies to become harder than bosses.
