So which one? Share your story why is you want I enjoy reading those but the main point is this apparent lack of attention to PVE players.
Now I'm not saying that they don't care at all but its damn obvious that PVE players are #2 on their list. The MIDA nerf was minor but completely unneeded. Yes it was strong in crucible but it always has been. Now that everything else around it was nerfed its strength was able to shine and no it doesn't have a ridiculous ttk and its not OP. But now the only benefit to using it in PVE is the extra speed and it's ability to make cabal flinch and help with those stupid shields is gone. And this is coming from a person that HATES the MIDA.
secretly glad it got nerfed so I don't have to hear a peashooter going off a million times in every crucible match
The special ammo nerf was eh. In 80% of situations it won't matter because you'll be able to go get that special ammo box over yonder. But those situations like warpriest or espcially VoG oracles/atheon it's really gonna suck. Not a fan of this update but we'll get used to it and it will help balance PVP.
Yea TLW and thorn are even more useless in PVE but lets be honest. If you're using them PVE you're and idiot or just messing around. TLW sucks in PVE and thorns dot is not worth it in PVE. Idc if you think otherwise
If I missed something let me know and tell me why it affects PVE and I'll add it but thats all on the top of my head.
But really why did you buy this game?
-
Because of halo history
-
My friend reccomended it to me before release, I got it and had a lot of fun
-
Because I was on the hype train after the alpha and beta.
-
Edited by zxionisus: 4/8/2016 11:43:48 PMHonestly, it's a collaboration between Activision and Bungie. COD and Halo. Both PvP and PVE were supposed to be crazy good. I saw the E3 preview and thought it was going to be amazing. It didn't live up to the hype, but it's still been good or I wouldn't play it. Nothing could live up to the hype it generated before it came out.
-
Why isn't both an option?
-
Because halo. So I guess for the pvp :B
-
How about "for the PvE I expected AND GOT" ?
-
It was something to play for a couple of weeks until the new FIFA came out.
-
It was supposed to hold me over till cod aw came out. I took aw back a week after I got it
-
Was sick of cod
-
My friend got it at midnight release. He made a hunter & I watched him play it all night. I liked how he got better gear & unlocked abilities as he played. Another friend told me about the titan's fist of havoc a week later. Then xbl had a deal where if you bought it on 360, you got it on xbone for free. Best $30 I've ever spent on a game.

They LITERALLY only nerfed mida, 1k stare, and terminus because they're too popular. They actually say it in the update that they're being nerfed despite being balanced because so many people use them. Actual word for word what they said on the MIDA Multi Tool:
Ignoring popularity, we think MIDA is fairly balanced in the global scale of weapons but I’m sure many non-MIDA users are starting to get tired of seeing that name come up in their death screen. Considering the popularity of the weapon we wanted to preserve how it feels to use but thought it was best to make it a little less horrible to be on the receiving end.
On the 1000 Yard Stare:
This is an interesting situation. We don’t like punishing a relatively-balanced weapon just because it is popular, but we also want players to feel like they have options.
On Quillim's Terminus:
Not to keep banging the same drum, but it is important to us that players feel like they have options and that there isn’t a single ultimate weapon per archetype.
THEN MAYBE ADDING MORE OPTIONS YOU CLOWNS

Because it was a bungie game.
-
I'm a PlayStation owner, and I like Halo, and I like RPG's (and Destiny is an FPSRPG some what similar to Borderlands), so I decided to get the "Poor-man's halo." Fun game, with the developers and what not doing some questionable actions.
-
when i saw the novabomb in the e3 13 reveal i was hooked. also i am a fan of bungie.
-
My reason? I saw concept art and early footage of the warlock and I was like: "I'm gonna go be a fcuking space Gandalf. Right now" That's the honest reason I got this game. Even today, I still love being a space wizard.
-
Both?
-
Because it looked fun
-
Had high expectations, that Bungie could never meet. Only blizzard can meet my expectations
-
Because I am a fan of Bungie.
-
They made Halo and I thought there would eventually be decent vehicles to drive
-
Because I wanted to rage on a constant basis about stupid things. Be petty and ignorant to all people and get butt -blam!-ed by the likes of Bungie one more time because apparently I didn't learn my lesson after Halo
-
PvP needs to be stopped getting updated. Fire the PvP team and use those additional funds to hire more for the PvE team and start dishing out more frequent and better quality content.
-
I actually don't remember
-
Edited by PaulEBluebird: 4/8/2016 9:07:42 PMBecause the constant online, hop in and out of play with randoms looked amazing. Shame it didn't work out as well as originally thought but hay, it's still a great game compared to most.

For the open worldiness of it, I followed the game from the first trailer
and it came out on my bday
I can honestly say I had fun, but overall a sad experience
