The vandal scuttled through the door, taking care not to set off any sensors.
He was not ashamed. There was no other way of finding out. He heard on his comms that his teammates had found some unknown human tech. But it was no concern of his.
He had his own mission.
He looked back to when he was demoted.
Tevenrock was ready to dock him, but, fortunately, a mere captain, lionak, had defended him, and said that his daughter was to go in his crew. But, still, he was stripped of most of his power, but not all. that was why he was there.
He had been sent on a specialised scavenge, his teammates some of the finest guards and scavengers in the whole of house winter.
He came to a stop on a steel gerder above some interesting tech. He flipped out his scanning device, and, with skill that suggested much experience, his fingers flew across the keyboard, effortlessly hacking the device. It opened.
It seemed to be some sort of device for transmission and reception of the state of the neurons firing in a being's brain. He climbed in, looking for a way to interface with it directly.
The hatch slammed shut.
He was frozen still.
And everything was consumed by a blinding light.

Good. But there needs to be more.
