Sniper inventory reduced by 5-7 shots. That's freaking huge!
Let's talk math(exciting I know lol)
If I have 23 rounds max on my stillpiercer, with boots on and all.
For simplicity sake let's say to a pve boss I do a flat 1000 per hit.
23x1000=23000
Now with hit to ammo lets use avg and say 6 rounds removed
18
17x1000=17000
That is a 26% reduction in potential damage (over a quarter)
That's horrible, and a bad call please bump and comment maybe someone will see this

I'm definitely not disagreeing, I do think it's a stupid way to address special weapon overuse in Crucible. But keep in mind that our light level will be increasing so our damage output will be increasing as well. I don't know how the numbers will work out, but I wouldn't be surprised if those 18 rounds will end up doing more damage to a raid boss once we're up over 330 than the full 23 rounds do now at 320. Or at the very least be on par. Again, not disagreeing that the way they're addressing sniper overuse in PvP by messing it up in PvE is ridiculous. It totally is. But I think it won't be as bad as it seems once we start levelling up a bit more.

Good. About time we saw more fusions and sidearms. Actually no, it's about time we saw less special weapon use in general.

Special ammo drops like crazy; can't remember the last time I needed to pop a special ammo synth or had trouble finding it laying around. And if you're that special ammo-oriented on your hunter, you should start using Skyburner's Annex to compensate.

When the ambush fails, and the sniper gets shot while ADS, he/she should flinch so hard they don't know which way is up. The Unflinching perk (should) mitigate this by allowing them to face forward, making escape easier, but a kill should still be out of the question. This was the only change Snipers needed. Give us back our special ammo BUNGIE!!!

I don't know if they actually changed it already or not but last night just got on a bit to clear some bounties out of inventory (get faction rank ready to flip) and I had green/purple bricks everywhere -looked like old loot cave but everywhere I went

Well they killed rocket launchers (as I never see anyone use them anymore, except for crucible)) and now snipers are next, I guess we'll try a sidearm. I get that Bungie is trying to bring balance, but the Y2 guns/armor is pretty bland and well, boring after all these nerf's.

That's if you pick up no ammo over the course of the fight. You know, those green things that will drop more often. My opinion - Black Sindle and Sisters fight will feel this. Pop synths and GG. However, everyone complaining about PvE is jumping the gun. You don't know what the new ammo economy will feel like. You don't. Save your complaints for next week if warranted.
