Sniper inventory reduced by 5-7 shots. That's freaking huge!
Let's talk math(exciting I know lol)
If I have 23 rounds max on my stillpiercer, with boots on and all.
For simplicity sake let's say to a pve boss I do a flat 1000 per hit.
23x1000=23000
Now with hit to ammo lets use avg and say 6 rounds removed
18
17x1000=17000
That is a 26% reduction in potential damage (over a quarter)
That's horrible, and a bad call please bump and comment maybe someone will see this
Edit, I have never trended before so thanks to all
Edit 2, near 1500 replies thanks I've never had over 20 before lol so thanks to all and be careful out there in the update

Yeah could have done without the ammo nerf, but the zoom was ok. Was seeing a sniper used as a shotgun alot or as a second primary.
-
Well it wouldn't had happened if it wasn't that popular
-
The effect on PvE is unimaginable #RIPsnipers #HelloFusions
-
Edited by DarthDoomguy: 4/8/2016 11:46:06 PMThat's all assuming you're using your sniper rifle exclusively, which you would be a fool to do. Use other weapons to make up for it. There's your simple solution.
-
They also pissed all over Dreg's Promise and mother -blam!-ing Thorn for whatever reason. Nobody even USES Thorn anymore and they felt the need to nerf it. What the hell?
-
PvP cry babies ruined snipers for all PvE players. Thanks.

Edited by Talk2MeToner: 4/9/2016 12:20:57 AMPVP ruins destiny. They need to go open world PVP. So no one will give a -blam!- except for fun and they won't beg for nerfs. Don't get me wrong in competitive it did need a nerf but that's cuz of all the butthurt this arena PVP causes. In open world I would say -blam!- it and have fun. However it still astounds me they're incapable of making separate balances for PVP and PVE. Maybe next time they will have to have specific weapons for crucible and crucible only and vice versa
-
They said in the stream more special ammo would drop more frequently from enemies to compensate...
-
The game would be better without PvP...but these days, everyone's gotta build their games around the CoD standards. Destiny was advertised as mainly, a PvE game....so what the hells going on bungie? Ditch PvP..
-
Everyone claiming this is remedied by more special drops must not kill warpriest in one aura I dont have time to miss a spindle shot much less jump down look for ammo Thanks for increasing the frequency but I really enjoyed speed runs with my clan Two auras, meh not so bad, but I see this having overall negative consequences for pve mains like myself I know, I suck and nobody even does the raid anymore blah blah ill get good etc
-
Has no one else remembered that they buffed special ammo drop rate in PvE to make up for this?!?!
-
So by that math it may take you 25-30% longer to kill a boss character. Shame.
-
No man they are upping the drop rate......So just saunter out there in front of that wizard weilding the arc burn death blasts from hell and pick up that little green packet lying right there.....
-
This pisses me off to no end PVE wise. With PVP, I could see why they did it, but there are plenty of other ways they could have done it more efficiently.
-
The easiest fix they could have done is to disable armor perks in the crucible.
-
Edited by Erijian: 4/8/2016 6:41:24 PMIn my opinion, that's how Sniper Rifles should've been in the first place. Long-range, passive weapons should always hold less ammo in total when compared to close-range, mobile weapons..Though Shotguns apparently got the same nerf so whatever Bungie. But I hear you; it really sucks for PvE. Especially since we're used to having so many shots.
-
They should've brought back field scout. Why they ever nerfed that is beyond me...
-
They really need to make fusion rifles and shotguns usable in the endgame PvE
-
Yeah and they nerfed fusion rifle ammo in December do now they finishing off anything else we want to use
-
Well shit. Why bungie?! Why couldn't you just make it impossible to res snipe?!
-
Edited by Destroydacre: 4/8/2016 10:06:37 PMThis is my biggest complaint about the nerfs, not so much in crucible (although I don't think any of the nerfs we got were at all necessary) but I hate the impact that pvp "balancing" has on pve. Bungie proves once again that they don't give a rat's ass about pve when catering to their precious "competitive" game mode.
-
For pvp it's good, but completely ruins them in pve. Bungie needs to find out a way to separate pve/pvp
-
I think you just looked into it more then bungi did be for they pulled the trigger on that nerf
-
I expect NLB will become prevalent again Hummmm.
-
-
they better have fixed the -blam!-ing hakkë sniper ammo bug, by default my aoife rua-d only holds 14 shots, with ammo perk armor it holds 18 shots
