Are you serious?? 5-7 shots is ridiculous. This whole update really pisses me off. You nerf my MIDA and now this? The only thing I'm excited about is to get PoE back.
I like to set up a lot of PvE challenges for myself. I soloed all the PoE bosses last year, soloed Crotas End back in the day, and my friends and I are working on 3 manning Oryx right now. When you do shit like this, you [b]need[/b] those deep sniper reserves. This nerf may not be a big deal for full teams, but it's going to seriously affect the solo players.
Why even nerf it? I mean seriously, who are you helping? [b]Nobody[/b] is excited about the lack of ammo reserves in PvE. [b]Nobody.[/b] All you're doing is pissing off your players [b][i]again.[/i][/b]
On top of that, they've already nerfed ammo! They nerfed field scout, they nerfed white nail, they made is much harder to get the blanket "increase special/heavy ammo perks" (now they're usually weapon specific). Is it really not enough yet?? Everything in this game just keeps getting worse and worse. It's like watching Johnny Manziel's NFL career...

Ita called balancing things ffs. These forums are toxic i swear. If you listened you'd see, as some have pointed out and said ON THE FEED, PVE will have special drop on a regular basis to offset the changes. Therefore the only people really pissed are those that used snipers as primaries and quick scoped people from 5ft. Sure, it takes skill, but totally stupid and nothing like what a sniper should do, so theyve corrected it. Mida is the most used gun ever apparently, and clearly OP if no one is using nothing else, so they simply took stagger rounds off. Hardly brutal. People will always bitch cos they hate change, but they flood on here moaning and begging for it?!?!? as they say in Russia Zis Iz problemz

I find it hard to pick up special ammo bricks when I'm forced to stand inside of an aura. You can't move around to get ammo in the raid.

When u run out of special ammo, use your heavy, then primary. You collect ammo before and after the DPS stage, not during. Nothing in the raid has changed but your allocated allowance you can carry, if anything your be guaranteed more special dropping so i struggle to see why people are freaking out

You missed the point of the post. If I run out of spindle ammo halfway through every DPS phase, I won't do as much damage to the boss. If the entire team starts doing only a portion of the DPS they usually do to the boss, that has the potential to REALLY hurt PvE. The point OP was trying to make was that we're gonna deal a lot less damage now because of the nerf to special ammo, not that it was gonna suddenly disappear.

And my point is people are moaning they wont do warpriest or the ogre in one or two dps stages and what im saying is so what? They arent designed to be done that fast but i know that people will think of ways to rotate weapons and strats to ensure they still breeze through them. I never pop a heavy synth in kings fall, but now its viable as I wont rely on my special 100% of the time. I use sleeper for warpriest with 1000 yrd, and spindle for ogre with quillems, and special never drops at the mo in the raid for me.

Ok first Mida was my first exotic way back in Y1 so for me to be using it isn't because its popular it is because I know it and how it can effect PvE foes. The HCR Stagger combined with its high clip capacity(21 rounds) makes it a very good chose for a Solo PvE player to use and survive missions and Strikes. Plus in PvP the Stagger was negligible unless your hard scoping sniper lanes. Then that is your fault for not paying attention to your surroundings. Just because a weapon or piece of gear is over use does not mean it is OP just that it is effective.

Im confused. Your first comment seems to suggest your pissed MIDA got a nerf, but you then point out it hasnt had a nerf? No year one or year two players can tell me they cant raid or do strikes with a MIDA now as it doesnt have stagger rounds...come on man. There are so many weapons. Ive never used MIDA in a raid, any raid, and never had any problems. Yes you like it, I used Universal remote for VOG, most of Crota and POE and it was a beast. I loved it so much. Now i cant use it in Kingsfall. No shits were given by anyone but me. Its not whether MIDA is OP or not, its the fact people feel like they have to use it and there isnt a choice. This should correct it somewhat. Thats why Bungie hardly changed MIDA.

OK what this is coming down to is this. The only reason they took out the HCR was to " make it less painful to get hit by a Mida" that is just wrong. I have known that the Mida HCR Stagger was negligible in PvP for a long time but in PvE it is useful to Stagger enemies (or if your really looking for a Solo challenge Stagger Kill Ultra's with your Mida) Most of the complant about the Mida are coming from hard scoping snipers that don't thin they should have to re-aim after getting hit by a round or two from a Mida or even worst for them they die from four rounds from a Mida in the hands of an average PvP player (me) that they never see coming. I agree with a lot of what your saying and in fact we should wait till a week or so after the update to complain about any changes. But like I have stated before the Mida was the first ever Exotic Weapon I got. and in Y1 it was what I got the most kills with. So to me the Mida has the same significance as Thorn or Hawkmoon does to their users.

I accept that, i said the same when they killed my universal remote. But i will bet my last strange coin and rotten candy that come day one of the update, in PVP at least, if you see dreggs promise melt heads you will drop your MIDA straight away... games go in cycles, i love fusions and they got nerfed, now they are secretly godly (if you get a good roll) and they are now getting a buff!?!? (god i smiled) MIDA is your swiss army knife...other weapons do almost everything it does better in one cat, but its good at everything and versatile. Its hardly changed and within no time at all there will be a new MIDA people will go mad about. We both know this.

Sure these changes "aren't that bad", that's just it (for most people, but like I said for soloing end game content it really sucks). They're not [i]that[/i] bad. Every time they come out with an update, they put out tons of changes that "aren't that bad". But when you combine them all together, they are [i]that[/i] bad! What makes it worse is that they never make changes the community wants! There are actual issues facing this game: lag, glitchy raids, no story progression to name a few. And instead of addressing those, they do shit like nerf ammo reserves in PvE?? [b]Who the -blam!- asked for that??[/b] No one, that's who. I'm happy with changes of they actually make the game better, but shit like this doesn't. In PvP, sure, nerf ammo reserves. But in PvE, that's just unnecessary.

Dude....we share the fact we enjoy the game and there are things we dont like. But telling me ammo is getting nerfed in PVE when there will be more of it dropping is something i just aint gonna entertain debating...its just not an issue. They have to respond to the data and as it is, if you got Destiny today and played your first game of crucible its not very likely, unless your an avid gamer, your gonna go back into crucible in any rush. Yes, some of us like solo'ing stuff. Its cool and an achievement...but...Bungie aint gonna cater to the 3% of online wizards that wanna do stuff they blatently DONT WANT US TO DO! come on man...if you do this stuff your a smart guy. How much effort did they put into making sure Kingsfall WASNT soloable? shit loads. So you cant moan that it makes it no longer viable. And id even say that within a week, if that, people will do just that. Yes some of it sucks, but i think this makes game more approachable in PVP for average players, easier to grasp if your crap, and the ammo dropping more means it dont effect 99% of PVE'ers. So many variables in Destiny PVE and PVP we cant moan if they try some radical shit to mix it up. Its better than the same shit since day one. No one would still be playing

It's just frustrating that they changed this, of all things. It's not game breaking and no one asked for it, yet they still changed it and let other things go untouched. It just feels like a slap in the face. I'm also pretty salty about the MIDA, but that's because it's been my favorite weapon since the day I got it.

Yes I understand. But you also must see that Bungie aint just randomly nerfed snipers and the MIDA. They didnt want to do it its cos they have no choice. If its the most used weapon ever in Destiny and the graph they showed was silly as f**k, esp as i am clearly only dude that dont use it, its cos they cannot have a PVP game where people dont have a choice but feel they HAVE to use a certain gun. Bungie aint picking on it lol its cos the stats say they gotta make people think about other weapons. Most Mida fans are saying HCR wasnt a big deal...so its by their own admission a minor nerf. I use a NLB and a Thesan (god roll i admit) and im pissed as now every persons gonna use a fusion i suspect but meh...if it means more variety im cool with it. Most comments i read are as if Bungie spins a random wheel and whatever it lands on they nerf it lol cracks me up. I hated dropping my universal remote and people hate change but i think its for the good. Its time to kill related and its free to get update so if its good ill play if its crap i wont. Im just confident itll be much better for it and if all the sweaty MIDA and sniper users leave destiny i can assure you i will not weep one salty tear :) And im not calling u a sweaty mida user either dude, just making a point

I got impression he was saying it wasnt OP but with HCR removed, which is a minor nerf, it will still be the same in everyother way but encourage others to pic other things. Its same with firebolt Viking funeral debate. Data clearly says that noting any high tier PVP would suggest their super is pretty much useless, as a competent sniper will insta snipe you, balances it out. Id disagree tbh on that as a team of three with that build wreck but meh... i trust the guys with the data and ill see what its like. I aint going to slate it before just because its encouraging change. People hate change, we all do, but do people not think Bungie thought....right ok....99% use MIDA- we cant have that...but wait...that means 99% of people are going to go batshit crazy!?!?! of course they did. This is what happens and they knew people would flip. Its a brave move and shows something had to be done, even if its a minor change. You wait come day one once people melt with dreggs promise these diehard I LOVE MY MIDA tshirt fanboys will drop it so fast (for the dreggs promise) they will get handburn.

I'm keeping my MIDA and I'll drop them Dreg-boys before their homing bullets even come close. I don't mind the change b/c the MIDA is my fav weapon period and the other perks more than make up for the loss of HCR.

I understand the MIDA nerf. I just don't like it, because I just want to use my shit in peace lol. It's more that every time they come out with an update, I'm slightly irritated by it (the 45% shotgun nerf in PvE, making Y1 raids irrelevant, the addition of eververse, the continued addition of eververse, the unwarranted fusion rifle nerfs, the MIDA nerf, etc.) and eventually it gets to the point of being fed up with arbitrary changes. It'd be nice to see a fix that I was excited about for once.

I used shotties exclusively cos special was everywhere in the raid and they were so OP. I was pissed but i understood the nerf and adapted. WIth the raids i understand and agree 10000%. VOG is the games best raid by some distance I think and its crazy its pointless now. Saying that the weapons were so OP ....he says then cries that after all his playtime he STILLLL hasnt had a P Foil fusion :(
