Would/do you date OUTSIDE your race?
Soooo this week's topic in my sociology class is [u]race and ethnicity[/u]

Where I live, you don't see mixed couples a lot.
And guys aren't very open to what kinda girl they would date
Too many times have I been told "You're pretty, but I don't date[i] black [/i]girls."
So yeah, it still matters in some places, does it matter to you? Would you maybe go for an Asian girl and not a black girl? Is it the culture or the physical traits that scare you away? Does it matter what your family thinks?

My parents have been together for 30yrs SO yes I have a -blam!-ing dad
I have been dating a white guy 4 1/2 years
However him being white has nothing to do with it, I actually don't have strong physical attraction to him.
I base my attraction on masculinity, not the color of someone's skin.
KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RACE AND ETHNICITY PLEASE

Ya I'm mixed but I look mostly Asian when no one in my family is Asian...anyways my boyfriend is white so yes, I do date outside my race.

2 RepliesI would date outside my race even though I've only been dating within my race Where I live there isn't much diversity when it comes to ethnicity. We are mostly comprised of hispanics. My parents on the other hand would not approve of me dating outside of race. But surprisingly they would allow my sister to date white people because they believe they have better financial stability than most Hispanic men.

2 RepliesEdited by Rookie: 4/8/2016 5:59:26 PMWhen I was a kid, I had the fantastic plan of eventually producing offspring with another Japanese person to spread around more full blooded Japanese people instead of all these mutts you see these days. Then I grew up and realised I was being a dumbass about it. Haven't thought about race as a factor in years, though I'm generally uninterested in black people in any romantic sense. And most of the other Asian nationalities. Guess I do consider it subconsciously. Best described as it depending on the race, I suppose.
