Bungie is killing their own game to make the crybabies in pvp happy. This isn't just about snipers. Everything is getting shittier and shittier in pve because of the "balancing" in crucible. Shotguns become crap, supers become crap, whole classes of primaries become crap, now snipers are becoming a lot worse.
All. Because. People. Bitch.
I only play pvp by the way.
Actually it has nothing to do with people bitching, it has to do with their server data. Too many people use snipers like primaries so they are making other weapons look more appealing by nerfing them

Oh it has to do with the moaning without a doubt. They're constantly going on about how "they're listening". At least in part. None the less, you think making weapons so underwhelming people move to the next weapon that is not underwhelming, only to continue making that weapon less good, is a "great way to make a game varied"? How about this: if shotguns have too much range and are consistently out-performing every other weapon in the game, reduce the range bit by bit until you find the sweet spot. When people stop using them in droves, buff them up again to where they're in a good place. Not in a month or a few weeks, but tomorrow. Simple as that. HoW meta with fixes to specific exotic hand cannons, an ever so slight reduction to shotgun range and a hefty auto rifle buff would have kept both sides of the game in a better place for both pve and pvp players.

I don't want to have to use the same setup year after year, changing the meta every so often is good for a game because it brings variety

Except pvp meta doesn't translate to pve.
