Right now I will say this without the sarcasm . Your logic on this doesn't make sense. There is now real potential damage drop. Anywhere that you can bunker down so a boss can't get you will give you the time to use a synthesis or you will just use a gun with shoot to loot to pick up ammo from a far. If your running a classic sniper setup the you go in ready for the moment you run out of ammo.
