As lore says only 1 time a ring [spoiler]installation 06[/spoiler] has been damaged ever. And it was using a bomb. Now I don't remember exactly how it was. It's at the end of Halo CE. Though I think the ark is done by much more resistant materials. [spoiler]even if it was normal steel it would not being affected much by the laser considering its dimensions. [/spoiler]
