Cuz that's what I wanna do during dps phase, run around collecting ammo

Extend it another phase... it's not the end of the world.

My point being it's the part of the fight where you should be dps'ing the boss, not running around looking for ammo. More artificial difficulty because of the crybabies in pvp.
