Anyone Else think the Taken armor looks terrible?
I mean, I thought the character customization in this game was horrible from day one, but this new update didn't make it any better. Just look at that taken armor. It looks horrible. That's the best Bungie's got? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. They're not the most creative people in the world.
On the other hand, Spektar Armor looks pretty cool. It would be better if I had more than one chance a week to get it, or I have to pay money for it. When Bungie said they were adding new armor, I thought they'd actually add more than one set of armor. But nope, it's just another way for us to have to buy something if we want it. Same old Bungie.
That's my rant. Anyone else think taken armor is disgusting?

The customization in this game is horrible, but armor looked way better in year 1.

I think they'll release an update that brings Takenated VoG or CE and the armor would be a Taken version of the original armor.

I have a full set of spektar armor on my titan, if the gold was a little darker I'd look like iron man

6 RepliesYou can get new versions of all the vendor gear. I got a chest piece from ranking up with future war cult earlier and it was called spektar lines vest or something like that. It was a future war cult chest piece but it dropped at 312 and you can put the chromas on it. All the factions and leaders packages are dropping worthy gear on top of an increase to rep gains all around. If not for a main then fuel for an alternate. The post game rewards from doing Poe at either level are also worthy. I was seeing anywhere between 300-320 blue pieces dropping not including whatever legendaries and or exotics were dropping.

3 RepliesNever liked the PoE armor and that's the one they went with to make it look taken. They should have went the route of chroma to allow you to make a different set of amor taken... Oh well, something is better than nothing until September.

It should have been an exotic shader that's puts the taken look on any armor. Too much for them to handle I guess.

What did u expect the poe armor was terrible from the beginning. Since it was modelled after it no shit it's gonna be ugly cause that poe armor is the worst thing to ever happen to destiny period.

I don't really care much for the base Spektar armor, and the PoE armor was always awful looking. Layering a taken shader over top doesn't improve it much. But whichever. I just dismantle them and move on. No real sweat off my nose.

Well are you expecting to like every single piece of armor that comes out? I think thats silly if so. I would equate that to expecting to like every single band that exists in your favorite genre of music. It just ain't gonna happen.
