One instance is not enough. Everything feels the same (and actually is the same light, in death feed). You are probably comparing Totem Thralls and later Thralls. Totem ones are less light, it's that simple.

No I am not. This was consistent for all characters at war priest. I am the guy typically that calls out from the center so I encounter thrawls there. At 325 light I could NOT melee kill them in one hit. This was doable @318+ last week. Please explain.

Die in raid, check rec. light, sees that it's 305, feel like an idiot. You do know with some subclasses the melee charge does bonus damage which may be capable of killing thrall in one hit.
