You realize it's about experience level right? High light means higher probability of experience.
As someone who runs the raid x3 each week with randoms, there are sooooooooo many terrible players out there.

Light means rng was good to you. I played with a bunch of 315+ last week and they refused to take gaze or run relic... People do one roll in the raid and dont wanna try anything else.

Not necessarily, someone can do the raid once and get all high light level gear but that doesn't make them good. Light level doesn't determine skill at all it just shows how lucky some people were to get those pieces.
