Suddenly, Balthazar jumps in from behind, impaling you at the base of the spine, disabling your lower half completely. As you turn your head to look at him, you see your sword stuck in his midsection, having cut through most of his body. The only reason he's still alive is due to realizing what you were doing and slowing down, otherwise he would have been in two halves.
