The deal was announced way before Destiny came out. As a consumer you had all the information you needed. You either dealt with it (that's why you're still here), switched or bought an extra console just for said content or left entirely because you didn't like the way they did business.

Any exclusivity is bad for all consumers because it shows them that they don't need to make anything better, they just have to take stuff from other consumers that don't bit their product.

I didn't accept it, Sony / Activision did. The consumer, unfortunately, has no say in these business deals that are made behind the scenes prior to game release.
