Daily reminder that future games won't have progression rewards like before and now we have to rely on literal party gifts to get random things. Despite all the wrong things Halo 4 did like ugly armor for example it still gave it a great progression system to keep players playing to unlock what they actually wanted. The problem here is not the cosmetic stuff (Gears 3 did this), is that now everyone relies on the random pack of random shit system to keep players on the leash.
