Guardians✨ How did you pick your Gamertag?
Hello-Guardians(^-^)/ ！
One of me & my Fireteams favorite things to notice in this beautiful gamerworld of ours is a clever Gamertag ! Whether it's a fellow Guardian at the Tower or an opponent in the Crucible, a good Gamertag is always appreciated.
So share with us the origin of your gamertag! Why did you choose it & what does it mean to you? No judgements here(^.^)！
I'll start: Professor Hikita is a character from one of my Fireteams favorite 1984 scifi movies "Buckaroo Banzai" , he was the Japanese scientist on Team Buckaroo responsible for inventing the Over Thruster( I recommend the movie if you haven't caught it yet ). Most of my gamer friends use names from this movie.
We really welcome you guys to share with us your "Batman" names here!

7 RepliesMy first name was shadav4. It meant literally nothing. Just a name back when usernames were made up words. That was when I was around 10. I didn't like it and I switched it to impurity. The 41 after was because impurity was taken. I'm pretty good at games but in real life I'm shit at sports. I know that I'm different than most gamers and I'm different at how I play. When you see my name, I want you to know that you aren't facing some random guy. You're facing me. When you see impurity41, in any game, you'll know you'll be in a harder fight than you think :) [spoiler]especially in super smash bros brawl or smash 4. I'll take you down without a sweat[/spoiler]

Was a couple reasons for picking mine. Fire/Fawkes as a reference to Guy Fawkes, Fire/Fawkes as a reference to the Phoenix in the Harry Potter books/films, and FireFawkes as a play on words referencing my old internet browser of choice, Mozilla Firefox, before switching to Google Chrome. The 246 was just because my original Gamertag had 135 in it and I wanted it to be different. Didn't think to make it JUST FireFawkes unfortunately. :/

Not sure if I have responded to this thread or not but who cares. Mine comes from drunken night of Halo LAN and my favorite band. One night my buddies and I got together for someone'e birthday at my house and hauled over a couple of TVs and another Xbox. 4 on 4 capture the flag was the game on Sidewinder. I had had quite a few beers at that point and was pretty out of it. I was helping protect the flag carrier when I heard one of my friends yell, "Who is that that shifty sonofabtich?!" A light went off and the next break we took I changed my username to Shifty. Then when I got XBL I needed to add to the name because there was no way in hell that just Shifty was going to be available. So I looked around the house trying to decide what to add to the name when I looked at my CD rack. I took the first album name, which was Undertow by Tool, and threw that on the end and came up with Shifty Undertow. This was a couple of months before Halo 2 came out and it was also my original Bungie.net username. Then when Halo 2 came out I decided I wanted to change it to DisturbedShifty which is my favorite band coupled with the drunken Halo name.

Simple. My name is Brent but that sucks so Billy is better. Was going to be Billy B Boy. Sounded cool to say. But then I got the idea seeing players leave and it saying they quit. So I thought what if it was Billy Rage. So it said Billy Rage Quit. Then I put Dont in the middle when it's taken. Billy Will Rage is an alt name, same as Billy Wont Rage and Billy Can Rage.

Me and my friends back in the cod day decided to make a clan about food tastes. There was crispy,tangy,sweety,zesty,etc. We also put the xo at the end of our names just for the lols.

I wanted Snow and something that sounded like G, and I love puns. An effigy is a 3D representation of a person, like a sculpture. Or in this case... A Snow man.

Mine was very strange. Ever since I was a little kid I liked tigers. At the zoo, I wanted to see tigers, and I always got stuffed animals that were tigers. That became the first part of my name. The second was my fear of huge storms as a kid. I decided to use that to my advantage. Tigerstorm was made but I felt like I missing something. So I added a 6 at the end. My favorite number. And that's stuck for every game I play :)
