I would like to play Destiny even if I'm not online, I think we should be able to simply patrol or even have an offline PvP mode.
You and your friends can sign in to their respective Xbox or PS account and choose their Guardian according to the accounts signed in and play against your friends on the same console. We could fight against each other just to kill time or finally see who's the better Guardian.
You could implement a solo and/or co-op mode much like PoE but for offline gameplay, you and your friends can see how far you can get or just train on teamwork and communication skills in a Survival mode.
It's just I really like playing Destiny and I always have Live, but I don't always have Internet access so I'm restricted from playing my favorite game just because of that.

This is my first time ever writhing to you guys and gals at bungie forgive me for my awful spelling. But to get right in is passge coins my thing is why can't we buy them. This would help a lot of fireteams reach the light house. Or give them the opportunity. I personally am trash at crucible loose a lot and it's super hard to get the coins to keep going.
