Anyone watch falling skies?

I've just started and it looks great. Does it get better with each season? or does it pull a "walking dead season 2" sort of thing? How would you rate the show? Or are there better series I could be watching?

You wont like it as it goes on trust me. It goes from alien apocalypse and survival to full blown x-men universe. I never got past that point.
