New Europa Patrol Map
Havent read the previous parts? Here's the Master Post
Patrol: Versan Boreas, Europa This patrol map is on Jupiter's moon, Europa. Sparrows are allowed like in most maps. Map It isn't the larges patrol map, probably equal to Earth and it relies more on its vertical space. The entirety of the map is divided into 3 main spaces: The city of Hyperborea in the south and center, the bottom of a glacier to the northeast and East, and Firebase Corinth to the northwest and West. The patrol spawn is Glacier's Edge, the Northernmost point on the map, slightly east of Firebase Corinth and north of Hyperborea. The city of Hyperborea is divided much like a normal city. There is East Hyperborea, West Hyperborea, North Hyperborea, South Hyperborea, as well as Downtown Hyperborea, Main Street Hyperborea, and The Borean Gardens (at the very southern tip of the city they are large dome like greenhouses). Also for a nice touch is the fallen hotel you toppled in The Absolute Zero strike. The city itself is not tremendous (think a combination of Mothyards and the Steeps size wise) and it relies more on vertical space. Almost every building is accessible and filled with enemies, hidden loot, and secrets to discover. The city streets as well as the skyline and inside buildings are all a war zone in the fight between the House of Kings/ Insurgents and the Ice Reapers. The Glacier section is divided into two main sections. To the South is the Ice Mines. Farther North is The Wall. The Ice Mines are a complex of tunnels that run deep into the glacier. The network of tunnels contain the Temple of Ether, Colosseum, Glacier's Labyrinth, Crystal Stockades, and a slew of other connected catacombs controlled by the Insurgents and filled with traps and loot. The last section, Firebase Corinth, is an Ice Reaper base, and the biggest Cabal base yet seen. It is extensive and burrows deep into the liquid core of Europa. It is very claustrophobic and there are always pipes or wires running along the walls. There are small sections like the Armory and Training Facilities, as well as a few surprises. Secrets The new patrol is filled with great loot, secrets, and surprises. Here are a couple: Overlook- A series of well hidden jumps along the Glacier's edge leads all the way to the top of the Glacier. From here you can see all of Hyperborea and Firebase Corinth, as well as an amazing view behind you of Europa's surface and Jupiter. Wolves- In the Borean Gardens, there is a specific, blue plant that you must shoot and toss a grenade into its pot. Doing so will trigger an event. A House of Wolves banner rolls down and a Vex cloud appears. Wolves appear and a secret entrance opens up to a place called "Wolves' Den". After fighting through a horde of time traveling Wolves, you reach a chest with the Exotic rocket launcher, The Alpha. It is essentially a Shock Rifle. It's description is, "Do you fear what never happens?" And its exotic perk is, "Wait and find out"- This weapon shoots 3 projectiles at a time that track the target but will search for a new one if the previous is killed. Vex Takeover- In Firebase Corinth, there is a room filled with war trophies. One such is some strange Vex device we have never seen before. If you shoot it, Vex of Sol Saecula invade the Firebase. Killing all in a short period of time will award you with the Metamorphosis, a legendary scout rifle resembling Vision of Confluence (Think Imago Loop to Fatebringer). Its description is, "Be patient, they grow with time and when they do, you will have nothing but." There are also many more I am just too lazy to write them all.
