It has led to several new encounters and ice breakers (no pun intended)
I have had complete strangers come up to me because of my tag. Several have become friends both within the game and in real life.

That's the best-, I'm a fan of this game and the positive aspects of the community and I always love how you can befriend anyone with the same play styles as you. And the gamer tag topic was one I was always interested in posting, I felt everyone had something to say in the positive and we could all share and appreciate it. Your story is proof towards positive encounters, sometimes a friendly name "breaks the ice" as you would say. (^_^)
