If I remember right I think he even had it on in the Super Bowl halftime show he did. His main guitar (the one shaped like that stupid symbol he changed his name to) is purple, in fact several of his guitars are purple! Do you even know why he used the term 'Purple Rain' for that song? It's a metaphor for deep sadness, often associated with the 'blues' but blue rain wouldn't have sounded as good now would it?
