Lightning grenades legitimately need to be nerfed. They can OHKO on landing, then do a LOT of damage with a LOT of range with a significant duration.

Lightning grenades can't one hit kill on their first tick it only does 122 damage, just like all of its ticks.
-
If you're getting killed constantly by lighting grenade, then you deserve it. Next time shoot it, or better yet, don't stand in it.

Killed constantly? What about my statement makes you think I am "killed constantly" by anything, aside from you being too immature to have a discussion without making false assumptions. The interesting thing about your implication that I'm "bad" is that a simple view of profiles proves that I am better than you at crucible. With ALL classes. So I'm not sure why you think there's any merit in giving me advice. But if you're wondering, I know how to avoid it. I hope that makes you feel much better, what with you being so concerned.

Y u so defensive

Ignoring the fact that the original comment is mine and someone else is the one who got up in arms and "defensive" about it... Y do u care?

Good point
-
Edited by MooseDroolEh: 4/25/2016 1:02:21 AMThe fact that you want them nerfed. Generally a nerf is applied to something that is too strong and by asking for a nerf to be given, you indirectly say that you and lots of other players have been killed much too often by this overwhelming grenade. They can kill in 2 ticks, not one. They last longer because of a perk. They can also be destroyed. Just because a number on a screen is higher, doesn't mean my point is any less valid. I never once bragged about my "skill". I merely pointed out a fact that you overlooked.

So you admit to generalizing, and even then you are wrong. It is possible for people to have the ability to feel and recognize that something is overtuned without it causing significant issues for their personal gameplay. I believe LG is out of line with other grenades. You do not know what I feel would be an appropriate way to adjust, and you do not have the authority to determine my motives or reasoning. That belongs to me, and me alone. You would be rightfully ridiculed in a legitimate discussion for derailing the subject and trying to paint a negative impression of me rather than simply arguing the point. And I don't intend to argue. My opinion remains the same. I will point out, however, that the grenade can one-shot if it lands close enough to the enemy. No, I did not say that this was an easy thing to do, and again... you don't know how I would ask for it to be adjusted. Try not to lose your composure on a simple forum because you assumed the worst.

Kinda sounds like the Nightstalker melee bombs. Removes HUD, dot, and nearly removes movement. Sounds like that need to be tweaked as well... Firebolts, don't have to explain that.
-
Edited by JReyno: 4/25/2016 1:14:52 AMIMO, Nightstalker is probably the only class to come perfectly balanced out of the box. It has its tricks, yes, but it does not dominate the other subclasses. It holds its own, and that's what it should be able to do. NS is the one class that just needs to be left entirely alone, while others all could use various (some very minor) tweaks. I agree that firebolts are strong, but I don't think Sunsingers have too much else going for them anyhow. I would hesitate to call for a nerf on them for that reason, or at least not a major one. I think the sheer length of the burn could definitely stand to be reduced.

Fanboys.....lol

Oh you disagree with someone's opinion so they're a fanboy? Lolol

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO wow

Sir, I commend you. It must have taken years of dedication to become that -blam!-ing stupid.
-
Edited by JReyno: 4/25/2016 1:00:03 AMWould years of dedication make you any less childish? I'm sure this comment makes you feel so clever and as if you accomplished something. I just feel you could have done better than dressing up a classic "You're stupid!" kindergarten argument. Next time, maybe.

I saw a statement that I know to be completely false, so I decided to call you out on your ignorance. lightning grenades CANNOT OHKO outside of Iron Banner and even then it takes a large light-level difference. the only other way I can think of that it would be able to one-shot is if the grenade itself got caught in your hitbox and did damage that way before exploding.
-
You decided to call me out, but you admit that you aren't 100% sure my statement is false? No, you decided to be cute on the internet. Says a lot about you when you feel the need to respond to an opinion with namecalling. But it's ok, that's how 99% of the Internet behaves and you can rest assured that my feelings aren't going to be hurt by keyboard bullies. In any case, just as you said the grenade itself will one-shot if it lands close enough. This is unrelated to the ticks of damage it does after landing. It is not coincidental, and I think it should not have the ability to do so under any circumstance.
-
No, not if it lands "close enough". If it lands in your hitbox and gets stuck. my friend does it all the time, he throws his grenade at me and it gets stuck on my body. If a non-attachable grenade lands on an enemy player it does some amount of damage on impact. And when thrown at the correct area on a players body, it stays there and does a lot of that damage very quickly. thats what I meant. I exclusively play striker and have never once been one-shot or have one-shotted anyone just because they were closer to the grenade itself. it always takes 2 pulses to kill (with the exception of modes with level advantages enabled).
-
No, I have had it kill me without being stuck on my character. It's killed me when landing directly behind me, for example. It will then stay in its location after I've died and continue to pulse. And who knows, it may not be intentional and I'm not going to argue how the game interprets it, but it happens.
-
The only thing I can think of that would cause it to one-shot is maybe Damage Ref.(I actually don't even understand what the DM is, but that sounds like what it would do) I've been playing since almost day one and have never even seen it happen once in almost 2 years. Also, I would like to apologize about my first comment, I was tired and felt like being a twat at the time.
