I just had the most amazing experience which epitomized the truth behind stereotypes towards younger gamers.
I was grinding IB with a friend who play-tests for Bungie. He works at their Seattle Headquarters and has the "BNG Crucible" clan tag.
We were in a party with someone in their early teens (a wee bit obnoxious) who started getting very "salty", as the colloquialism goes.
And of course, as I'm sure we all have done before, he began to blame all of his deaths on, you guessed it, Bungie.
This was quickly followed by him asking the insightful questions that we have all been wondering: "Does Bungie even play this game?", "Have any of them ever gone into the Crucible?", and finally "I just looked at his stats and DeeJ sucks at pvp!" (Sorry DeeJ!)
This made for a great message chain between me and the play-tester (who couldn't help but chuckle and egg him on).
The kid never figured out that the tag "BNG Crucible" stood for "Bungie Crucible", even after he correctly answered what the BNG stood for in BNG_DeeJ!
Have you experienced any similar moments of "dramatic irony" (When you, the audience, are in on a joke that someone else is oblivious to)?
TL;DR A younger teen was trashing on Bungie while, unbeknownst to him, a Bungie employee was in the party.
Not the most interestingly written post, but I wanted to put something out there before I fell asleep!
