The reasoning is kinda obvious in this article, but he explains it much better than I can be bothered to.
Real battles > fictional Michael Bay BS

Sorry but refighting WW2 isn't appropriate
-
Did anyone here actually live through the World War FPS epidemic a couple generations ago? It was even more widespread and lasted longer than the Zombie infestation. What possible new angle could they use?
-
World at war remaster?
-
Don't know why people say WW2s done to death, this console generation there's only like 2? WW2 games the rest are fiction. Atm it's more like a WW2 drought. Ofcourse it'll always be my favourite setting to play in, it's the easiest to get immersed in. Future settings and even modern games, played it's like "eh this shit COULD happen" WW2 games it's like well this shit actualy DID happen and it was probably alot more hectic and dramatic than any game can replicate.

WaW= amazingggg

5th cod I won't be buying in a row. Am I the only one speaking with my wallet?
-
Change or No change? Wtf does this community want?
-
Edited by SeneschalGrigori: 5/2/2016 5:04:29 PMHonestly I don't even want WWII stuff, I just want it to be like TODAY, primarily just back in whatever time MW3 was. I'd even tolerate BO2 timeframe. I just don't want this futuristic fire & forget killstreaks and built in wallhacks they are pawning off as "abilities" rather than cheats.

Idk, I think they'd have to overhaul the mechanics and game engine completely to make it work how it should. And by that I mean, larger maps, more players per lobby, vehicular + infantry game modes and all allies and axis powers factions with the historically accurate weapons. Oh and can they PLEASE scale the scope of the game up?! I have glasses for a reason and I still have to squint to see someone across a small map or laying prone by a door or corner lol SCALE IT UP AND SLOW IT DOWN. I want gunfights again and solid engagements, not this I'm flying in the air and shoot 3 people with 10 bullets maybe and boom they're in the spawn to kill the people they just did again.
okay I'm done. COD pisses me off anymore
-
Just stop with the WW bull shit already It is NEVER going back. Most people who play COD online dont want to fight each other using Mosin Garants or whatever shit guns they were using back then Plus they cant sell Camos then or dance emotes in micro transactions etc
-
They do that and all the haters be like "WTF COD WE NEVER WANTED THIS COD SHOULD STAY IN THE FUTURE THIS MODERN CRAP SUCKS"
-
Because Call of Duty 1 was the best CoD. How I yearn for the days of competitive S&D on carentan or dawnville again. Pistol round to pick sides before a match. GLHF don't forget to record your demos. Fake bomb planting, B.A.R. Vs MP-44. Playing against a friendly clan and the last 1v1 decides to have a melee fight. CaL and TWL. Those were the days. Last I looked(few months ago) there were still a few servers running rifles only. I miss it.

Keep your bolt action opinion to yourself, m8. FOH

Call of Duty: The Crusades
-
They already made a WWII game
-
It shouldn't return to WW2. It's like nobody remembers how sick and tired everyone was of WW2 shooters until MW came in
-
It shocks me about how many people like this futuristic crap
-
I'd prefer Vietnam
-
How could they possibly innovate a WWII game? There's no new angle or spin on it that they could feasibly do. I can't even imagine how another WWII game wouldn't just become a copy-paste of World at War...

Really i dont care when cod is set
-
CoD should have a modern setting or at least a near future setting (mainly modern with some cool spy gear and weapons.) World War 1 & 2 are too limited to keep enough people playing.
-
Edited by ObamaBinLaden: 5/1/2016 7:50:28 PMi dont care what time period it's in as long as they get rid of double jumps and all of the exo garbage. specialists need to go too
-
WW II has been done too many times. It would most likely be boring, especially with the limited old school weapons.
-
Because of real battles? I would have thought because none of the games have been nearly on the level of Call of Duty 2.

Love COD WaW
