Im a day 1 player and a competitive, but chill player. Now the harder I try at trials the worse it seems to get. Its turning your players into a bunch of jerks.
My own friends will not play Trials with me cuz of kd and elo. I have to resort to lfg for about half hr to an hr before playing a couple matches, getting yelled at, and need to go back to LFG to find more kids to scream at me. Is that the experience u want me to have? Nobody's having fun. All ppl do is point fingers & blame. Ive been on for i dont even know like 8 hours today and almost as many yesterday. I have nothing to show for it except one less friend and 50 less passage coins.
So, Anything we can do to about making trials a little more attainable? I know the tryhards would cry, cuz it would deflate their egos, but this whole flawless thing is getting ridiculous.
Theres such a negative environment around Trials now that I am just done with it. I ve never had ppl treat me so badly as the ppl that "numbers" say are better than me. Ive been yelled at, kicked from parties without even a goodbye or thanks for the game, & called all kinds of names over this GAME! Nothing more frustrating then needing to rely on others for my success and trying very hard at something to be left essentially back at square one; only pissed off.
I know u like the buzz around Trials, Bungie. However I think the more attainable the lighthouse is the more ppl might play Trials. There really is no middle ground. I ve been getting 5-0 or stomped and teabagged rd 1.
My main prob with it is the Shit-Talking. So if ur good at trials and u just think I suck & cry - KEEP IT TO UR DAMN SELF & out of the comments plz. Your ELO & KD arent gonna get u laid. So spend ur time carrying other ppl to the lighthouse so u can feel good about yourself.
I would like to point out to everyone though, that red barring is very rarely the players fault. Its usually destinys servers. Easy way to check that. Whats your bar like in orbit? Green. Whats it like in a game of crucible? Red. That means its destinys servers and being match made with people on the other end of the planet. Unfortunately the player cant fix that. And FYI, red barring happens to E.V.E.R.Y.O.NE. Even the people complaining about it.
Played trials since it released (using Lfg to find teams) and never have I played with anyone that you described above, and I have like 10 pages worth of Lfg friends
-
Well, you aren't exactly supposed to be able to sit there and just chill and demolish everyone. Take it somewhat seriously and try. Don't make stupid ass decisions just because you're more worried about you having fun than not wasting your teammates time and they won't yell at you.

I think people caring about elo andd stuff are hilarious

Edited by ThankYouBungle: 5/2/2016 7:16:44 AMBungie should make trials of osiris elimination rumble next week
-
Edited by TheGreatNlke: 5/2/2016 7:23:10 AMThe point of trials is that its really hard to get to the lighthouse. They made the bounties so weaker players could still get gear. The only thing youre missing out on is either aesthetic or the adept guns which have a weak special ability. Stop crying and get better if you want to go.
-
I have a set trials team, but when they're not on I may use lfg. I've used it loads of times and never found anyone that gets mad, upset or tryhard. However a few have rave quit. You're just unlucky it think.

I would love to get some of the weapons from trials. Just don't know if I can deal with that kind of frustration of being mopped constantly. Sadly, I am not the best at pvp :(

Edited by Jiff The Jester: 5/2/2016 10:39:31 AMYour friends are losers haha, me and my friends just play it for fun and usually end up doing pretty good
I've never met anyone who yells at people, you're either REALLY bad, or you're a dick
Not a fan of Trials either, but when I can be arsed with it, I just grab the bounties and two likeminded friends and we grind for the Gold package. We have one goal, we get it, we play something else :)

Edited by semoske: 5/3/2016 3:01:27 AMTo avoid people like that I write you must be chill and I don't care for flawless I usually get people who have gone flawless and are very chilled and laid back so my advice just say you want to play trials for fun
-
Edited by Zehc: 5/3/2016 3:30:23 AMHonestly, I can't stand the way people treat each other in Trials. I don't even play it anymore simply because of that, if people actually treated each other with some decency, I might run flawless still or at least do bounties/armor and weapon. Its just gotten too stressful for me, good luck with your Trials runs, hope you get flawless soon and have a better time.

Edited by Hangz: 5/3/2016 5:18:19 AMGet better and play smarter. ToO isn't really that hard unless you get paired against all 3.0 kd players. Oh and join a clan.
My own friends will not play Trials with me cuz of kd and elo.
Your friends sound like real assholes. My advice to you is get better friends.

Lol I'll help of your on ps4 nothing irritates me more than playing with guys that cannot take a loss

All from the guy with the new flawless emblem.

I post for trials runs for bounties only, and get a team together in a few minutes, 5 tops. I dont post requirements, just for bounties. I invite them to party chat before we start, and make sure they're cool with bounties only. Never had a group that wasn't "chill", and we often make it as far as seven wins. I tend to have great games in these teams. When I try to go flawless, it's a lot harder to get a team together, and matchmaking tends to put us up against sweaty try hards. I do terribly in these matches, and usually get stopped by 7 wins or less. Y1 trials was fun. Now, not so. It's the matchmaking. Not only is it based on wins, but it's also SBMM from my experience. Lag is generally worst in trials for me, and gets worse the more wins you get. They need to go back to pure connection based like Y1.

Edited by xKCz: 5/2/2016 10:27:55 AMElo got me laid.......... It was with my hand, but that still counts, right? Right? :I

Edited by ojf deadstar: 5/3/2016 4:32:45 PMI am terrible at pvp, so i just play for the bounties. Best thing is to not take it seriously and lfg that want the same.

Crying on a forum isn't going to get you laid

Human beings have been finding reasons to ostracize each other since the beginning. It's nothing new. If you remove one justification, people will look for another. Bungie won't be able to fix this for you. :I

Edited by Machiavoriel: 5/2/2016 7:47:34 AMYou have a negative KD in Trials (by a LONG way) so you would appear to be an active detriment to any group you joined, you haven't bothered getting any character above 325 (in a game mode where Light matters even a little, it still matters) your gear is substandard, your overall skill level appears poor (less than 10 KD in PvE???) and most importantly, your attitude (as demonstrated in this long, whiney post) is borderline toxic - why in the name of all the Gods would anyone want to do Trials with you in the first place?
-
Hey man do you play Xbox because I can help you with trials, I have a few friends that can help
-
I'm gonna try to put this gently due to the fact that you said to keep the hate out of the comments... The #1 skill required for trials success is consistency, and due to your KD I simply wouldn't feel comfortable relying on you to get kills. That being said, some people simply won't get to the Lighthouse, and they shouldn't, it's for the crucible players who are good enough to achieve it. I don't agree with carries because then it's no longer special, then everyone's done it. Trials is a crucible raid, either you can do it, or you can't.
-
Very interesting friend. I would say that the most important factor to doing well in trials is consistency and communication. I played with a guy who wasn't very good but had amazing call outs, the dude brought a different element to the team that quite frankly is often missing. You need to start relying more on your strengths and reinforce your weaknesses, so that you can start being more consistent. Remember, a good player isn't one with a high kd. A good player is the one who can discern situations on the fly and make the call that gives him the greatest chance of coming out on top. One of the best compliments I've ever received was from my buddy Cole "Dude... You are exhausting to fight" Made me smile, because it shows me that I'm hard to kill. Just try to stay consistent and you will eventually make it.

Edited by TrooperHR: 5/2/2016 12:00:19 AMThat's where it's been for a very long time. It took me months and months to climb the LFG ladder to high rank. Do you have that kind of motivation and time? Probably not and I wouldn't advise it anyway, at the end you become a "winnner" in a toxic pile of shit still deep in it. You think Bungie's crucible team spends 2 hours on LFG at night? Getting beat by laggers 3 cards in a row after finally getting into that one team that would have them? -blam!- no. We wouldn't have Crucible this badly broken and succetible to network manipulation and cheating otherwise.
