There are so many things in the tower that either lose purpose early or have none to begin with. I have been playing destiny since the dark below dropped. I have done just about everything the game has offered and still love playing the game on a regular basis and always find new activities, challenges, quests, etc to fill up my game time. My only suggestion is making the tower a more interactive place where guardians can go not only to interact with on another but also to interact with the plethora of NPC's. The factions need more of a purpose in my opinion. I currently rep Dead orbit but other than the hung jury I see no difference between them and the other factions. There also seems to be no purpose behind rep'ing any faction. A possible idea I have though about is making more things faction exclusive or faction exclusive locations, Something to set them apart. I have also thought about why not making clans fall under factions and getting clan bonuses for faction rep when 2 or more clan members play together while wearing faction gear. Something to add worth to your faction allegiance. I also don't understand why the Tavern has no purpose. As I have said in other posts I believe the Tavern is the perfect hub for LFG and Clan recruitment in game. It currently lacks a purpose in the game and will work well for that purpose. Furthermore the speaker has no purpose for end game players less of buying class items that from my perspective have no benefit other then not a lot of guardians have them. My final suggestion is I am a strong supporter of customization. Being able to tweak your gear or appearance to set yourself apart from others. Why not allow players the option to create there own shader exclusive to them. Or even create there own gear from a collection of pre made features designed by bungie. Obviously perks would need to be randomized or all players would stack there gear and create an unfair advantage. However style is everything for some players so any way for players to customize there look more would keep players interested along with draw in more players. My last suggestion on customization is is on weapons. I do support the gun skins idea but I wish there was a more customizable optic selection. A way to expand on armsday orders allow players to select certain perks such as optics and maybe select three from the other columns as a "wish list". With this system the wish list you select would be chosen at random allowing for players to order weapons they would actually want to use without allowing players to overpower there weapons stats. I think with all these suggestions it would improve the gameplay tremendously and allow guardians to actually interact in the tower. Along with allowing guardians to customize there guardians to there style and strengths without over powering them. Avoiding everyone wearing the same raid gear and same exotic and legendary weapons.
