Edit: Got some troubleshooting tips for you red bar warriors. Alright so ask your mom for like 15 bucks, buy a really long (and I mean really long) ethernet cord. Next, knock on your neighbors door and tell them you need to inspect their router while hiding the cord behind your back. Plug that bad boy in and make sure you have a Pabst blue ribbon in hand to make sure it all goes smoothly. Congratulations,you've upgraded to a yellow bar ;))))))

I wish everyone would realize that all anger about lag should be directed at Bungie. I have never seen lag as bad as in Destiny and we are talking about the game with the highest budget ever here. Completely useless bunch of programmers when it comes to netcode.

Yeah uhm, nope... it is the matchmaking, if I connect to my 100/100 internet and get paired up with Juan in Mexico I can red bar... never been in an advantage as a red bar player, nor when other people red bar and I am green barring

Easy way to check that. Whats your bar like in orbit? Green. Whats it like in a game of crucible? Red. That means its destinys servers and being match made with people on the other end of the planet. Unfortunately the player cant fix that. And FYI, red barring happens to E.V.E.R.Y.O.NE. Even the people complaining about it.

I'm not home right now, but I may put up a screenshot of my internet from a test. Also Xbox says my multiplayer connection is 110mb download 35mb upload, which is pretty damn accurate since I pay a shit ton of money for Internet.

I lost it for some reason at "red bar warriors" I'm often red bar but i never get this delayed stuff. Bungie just boots me off the match with some error code.

i played the red bars last night in banner. luckily i was already rank 3 on my 3rd character so i just finished some bounties and got rank 5 real fast

I always green bar and never have a problem with lag I've always wondered how much better my connection would be hard wired but for what really I'm getting on average like 100+ upload and around 60-80+ download (those are MB's not KB's btw) only difference is I actually pay for mine and just recently upgraded my router. The only issue I have is watching Facebook videos they're slow to load but YouTube twitch anything else? No problem instant load no buffering. Facebook servers are a proud sponsor of destiny.. Although this iron banner severs were so bad recently as soon as I seen my team go full yellow and the other team as well then a few of us went red I said -blam!- it and whipped out my no land beyond might as well add insult to injury right? WRONG 10 seconds later I'm full green and getting T bagged by "I suck at this game 7" ... Trash

2 RepliesMe and my friends have pretty good internet considering where we live in the uk. Few days ago we went into IB as a 4 man team. Usually we are paired with Germans or French players but the other 2 randoms were joining from Korea, Australia, usa and even China. Needless to say our connections were all over the place! Not sure if it's just weird matchmaking in IB or something's changed to match making again.

Mostly I don't ever notice too much lag in PvP, but this week it's been very awful. I think the main reason for this is because Iron Banner is out. It seems that the game is always extra laggy when Iron Banner is available.
