For those of you with social lives or geographical knowledge, I'd like to ask a question. Over the summer I'm hoping to go see JSC and other space/technology attractions in Houston but I'm also curious as to what else there is available in Texas (I'm aware it's the second largest state) and would any of y'all recommend any of these places? I live in Miami Florida, city is pretty but the people are douchebags and there's too many gun laws; I'm moving to Texas when I graduate so it'll be nice to get to know stateside attractions.

Maybe it's because I live in Texas and I've seen it all, but Texas doesn't really seem like a tourist destination to me.

Am I the only one who thought for a moment it said terrorist attractions in Texas?

In Fort Worth at the Texas Stockyards there is this restaurant/bar. Quite simply, it has the best steak I have ever had in my life. Dallas - The JFK Museum / Schoolbook Repository Texas Motor Speedway That's all I've been to.
-
Palo Douro canyon is a great attraction if you want the classic old West feel, however I would personally recommend schlitterbahhn as it is really -blam!-ing hot in Texas right now.
-
The tree where they Lynch different people is a good one to see if you're white and Christian
-
RTX when that comes around.

Go to port Aransas. Beautiful man made island with quiet beaches. I know the place like the back of my hand.
-
Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It's part amusement park, part water park.
-
You can come have dinner at my place, and we can play Halo

You from miami? Instead of cubans, its mexicans.
-
Kemah Boardwalk is cool.

Do you have young and naive female family members that live here? If not, that's fine. Whataburger makes up for my inability to catch a mate.
