I don't normally ask for buffs because I'm all about balance and frankly the Crucible is pretty balanced right now (except for legendary hand cannons, which are still trash). But there's a serious balance issue.
Auto rifles got buffed so much in PvE that they actually started dealing damage, but LMG's have not been buffed at all. Currently, LMG's are completely pointless in PvE. They don't even deal double the damage of an AR, but also reload/handle much slower and have very limited ammo post update. They're absolutely pathetic.
LMG's work fine in PvP since dealing higher DPS leads to killing faster AND being more forgiving, but such a not massive damage increase does great amounts of nothing in PvE.
I've barely used the Quillim's Terminius but the inventory nerf was the most pathetic attempt at balancing I've ever seen in my history of gaming. It's already one of the worst weapons in the game by merit of being a King's Fall weapon, but now it doesn't even have it's unique ammo capacity. The Unseeing Eye with Field Scout holds more ammo and performs better in both PvE and PvP with Spray And Play/Persistence, yet instead Q.T. was nerfed. You nerfed a weapon that wasn't even top tier just because people liked it. It had nothing to do with balance. As if nerfing it's stability wasn't already bad enough, combined with its worst-in-class perks! Whoever decided for this nerf is a horrible, horrible game designer and should be fired, or at least left out of design decisions. Please learn from your mistakes and maybe return Q.T.'s inventory or stability.

I agree that LMG's need a "buff" but completely disagree that they are "poor." What they need to do is increase magazine and reserve sizes. LMG's should have three magazines total; one in the weapon and two on reserve. We currently have two and a quarter (if that). Anyone remember when Corrective Measure could hold 100 rounds in the mag and 200 reserve? Well, I am not asking for that, but certainly 35 Rounds in Objection IV is way too few, especially when the app shows 87. Now, for the particular LMG, 50-60 would feel right, which means 150-180 rounds total. Quillim's Terminus should be the same way. Regarding PvP, Bungie should simply make it so heavy ammo crates grant 2/3 of a magazine, just like rockets and the problem is solved.

They just need to separate the PvP and PvE sandboxes so that the nerfs and buffs in each don't affect each other. Once this is done, they need to increase heavy ammo capacity and how much heavy ammo you get per-drop back to the way it was before and everything else will be fine.
-
Not just HMG need a buff if you didn't notice a rocket does about the same damage as a high impact sniper. I almost never use my heavy ammo because I almost always never have any and the damage output is CRAP. The only heavy that is worth the heavy spot is the exotic swords.

Edited by kendallhollo2012: 5/11/2016 9:48:15 PMI think the PvE nerf was impacted by the PvP nerf. It sounds like inventory changes in PvE and PvP are related. They should of just left the inventories alone and focused on amount of ammo pulled from ammo crates and the spawn times in PvP. They definitely could of came up with a better system I agree with you 100% on that one.

Edited by Crocco: 5/11/2016 8:57:50 PMMy Bane of the Taken LMG holds 58 rounds. Not in a single mag, no. Total. Let me say that again. 58 rounds total. Who thought that was an acceptable idea?!

Bump the fact that AR'S damage is comparable to an LMG'S is absurd
