We need a more reliable way to get the Desolate armor set.
So far I've opened 13 of those mystery box things, I've gotten a big fat zero desolate armor pieces. I keep getting Spektar gloves over and over again. Look, the Spektar is cool and all, but the horrific space ghost is the look I'd rather have.
Can you please implement a way for people to get the armor in a more reliable manner? It's annoying as hell to open so many of these things and to not get a single drop because of bad luck with RNG.

I havent gotten desolate gear from the 3 free packages. the few pieces i have are from packages i bought with silver. i still dont have a full set and i refuse to buy more silver.

I agree, but it will never happen, giving in and buying the boxes is exactly what Bungie wants. I am sitting at 2/16 so far for desolate armor, haven't done this week's crucible or poe yet. I will never buy a box with real money and if I don't get a complete set of taken armor before destiny 2, then I don't get one.

Pay for it. That's the bungie solution. New microtransactions if we can't ever get lucky enough to get all the desolate armor sets. They are probably laughing at all the people who actually just paid to get desolate armor.
