As we all know Xur is selling the Y2 Glasshouse exotic helmet. Having only recently acquired this from a Y1 legacy engram two weeks or so ago (I may be off on this, but still) I haven't done much with it.
Titans: is this a good exotic for the Defender? And how long, roughly, does Weapons and Blessings last with this equipped? Does this length of time also extend to your teammates?
Edit: According to most of you it seems to be a very situational exotic. I recently checked it out myself on Friday 5/21 but only in a PvP match. Weapons of Light is a much needed relief for auto rifles, and with this equipped I can engage in combat around a corner from my bubble without worrying about it deactivating too soon.

Its decent.. no more then that. Ruin Wings are much better for PvE. Saint-14 once was amazing but since year 2 I rarely have anything creeping inside the bubble and for pvp you have Twilight Garrison, No back up plans and Armamentarium
-
Its a nice exotic... But if you are using blessing you should never strafe TOO far from your bubble anyway so you can refresh the over shield when you are damaged. Weapons of light you should definitely be near a bubble. Decent exotic if you have no others. But no backup plans are better honestly.
-
Raid? Sure...
-
It is decent, but there are a lot of better exotics for titans.
-
If you already have the year 1 you can claim the year 2 just hit up the kiosks by cayde and them in the tower
-
It has its uses.
-
It's negligible. And if you're being shot at it doesnt really matter how long blessing of light lasts anyway. They should of made it buff the effect instead
-
-
Nah. It's unremarkable in my opinion.

Its a good exotic, makes weapons and blessings last 3-5 sec longer. But there are better ones is tge problem. Saint 14 and ruin wings come to mind. Also some people have twilight garrison glued onto their titans.
-
It's only real use in PvP is to extend weapons of light. Blessings of light rarely lasts the full time limit anyway.
-
-
Can see it being very helpful for Warpriest and Golgoroth as well as Oryx with Weapons of light!
-
Only for golgoroth
-
I take it over Saint-14 Helm for Crucible all the time. And if you're considering buying stuff from xur, buy everything. This week is a great opportunity to get top-notch exotics.
-
It's not that it's bad, it's just there are other exotics I'd much rather use...Armamentarium, Saint-14, No Backup Plans....
-
Is the increased duration only for the Titan wearing the helmet or for the entire team?
-
Yea, but i'd go with the Saint-14 helm if you like running Defender on a Titan.
-
It's situational - boss fights in PvE and objective play in PvP. The Armamentarium has to be my favourite, irrespective of subclass because it works in pretty much any situation...
-
In Kings fall it's not a must but definitely top three for kings fall in my mind cause it makes so you don't have to back to the bubble as quick
-
Not worth the exotic slot
-
Depends on what you use your bubble for if you use it as a shield Saint-14 is better, But if you use it for like map control with WoL Glasshouse can be really good. PvE wise is the same thing boss melting GlassHouse can be really good. If you throw it on a door or area to blind the enemies Saint-14 is a hell of a lot better.
-
i will comment on PVE.....because i don't use a bubble Titan in PVP. if you are planning on doing Kings Fall a lot.... it's worth it. because there are no ads bum rushing you and because the extra time helps when you are DPS'ing Warpriest and Golgoroth. outside of that......... helm of St. 14 is much better. especially if you're doing strikes or POE. I had glasshouse in year one. used it some. got it in year 2 - ranked it up, and it's sit in my vault since.
-
Yes it is a good exotic . However there aren't as many places now where it can be used effectively. The bosses in the raid are a good example of where it can be used.

I find glasshouse to be meh/10
