Chapter 1.7 - Hammer and Anvil, Part 1
Location: Bloodwrath, Hall Of The Chosen
A debriefing for the Necron Massacre mission begins within the Hall Of The Chosen. This golden chamber is lined with trophies and relics of the finest achievements mankind has ever accomplished, display cases gleaming and proud. Banners line the walls with depictions of bloody campaigns that lit the entire galaxy into the flames, past, present and future. The result of these scenes will echo throughout history forever.
Next, you see a depiction of an hourglass floating in deep space - an hourglass large enough to steal the stars themselves, and change the fate of the entire universe (see the origin in the 11th and final chapter of the original RoB). This banner triggers a vision within your mind... A memory of an eclipse wreathed in red fire, and the feeling of crippling dread as you realize the eclipse was caused by the arrival of a starship the size of planet. Could this be a memory of your arrival?
You see more banners, these with odd dates and time stamps... You then come to a realization.
It now becomes blatantly obvious that some of these banners are actually from the distant future, showing many battles that the Bloodwrath had not actually won yet. Something causes your attention to change focus.
The speaker begins talking about the previous endeavor, but you find yourself distracted by the scene...
You realize you're surrounded by legends of battle.
Both Imperial and Chaos factions are represented by the most terrifyingly efficient, brutal killers amongst their ranks. They are filed in 2 rows of 25, each individual having inflicted a brutal sum of death, leaving behind nothing but scorched earth and Rivers of Blood in their wake. These warriors have been chosen to undergo the Trial of Nightmares, a mission that will take them to the farthest limits of their ability, and require them to choose a Brother of Battle.
You stand face to face with legends, and now you must choose an ally.
The speaker creates a roster for kill teams of 2 or more warriors, and the legends of battle begin dividing into groups.
Post a comment of your character choosing a partner or group of partners. I'm looking to create a huge battle geared towards teamwork and cooperation.
If you cannot find a partner, join a group.
You will need synergy to defeat these next foes, so choose a partner who you can work well with.

"It does." *She turns to watch the masses* "I find myself without purpose, without direction." *She glances at him, her eyes blank* "I need direction. Shall you give it too me?"
-
My purpose is to hunt. You're free to make your own purpose, but I assume it is similar to me.
-
"Then... It shall be an agreement, yes?"
-
If agreement is what you want, agreement is what you get.
-
"Indeed..."

Edited by Obi-Emp Kenobi: 5/22/2016 3:53:56 AMFeryun was furious on the inside but he kept cool after flaying some poor beings from earlier. The Chaos Lord had his Blade out, It glew Fluorescent Blue signifying his magical strength. He eyed everyone within the room. Ling was cleaning his Weapons, knowing that shit was going to go down. His Inquisitorial precense would be a huge benefit to members of the Imperium, but a bane to those of Chaos. Nito rose from the ground, his large Gravelord Blade within hand, his Onyx cloak was like a cape as he revealed the many skeletons that made up his entire body. He cackled at the fact that Death was going to be rampant. The First dead One could be a benefit in some way.
-
A man in black, segmented armor stands a little bit away from Ling, watching him clean the weapons. His own weapons, the thirteen swords on his chest, were sitting still. He eventually approached the Inquisitor, even though he'd rather not. He got closer, but still said nothing.
-
"Hm?" Said the Inquisitor, looking at the figure. He was not within his normal inquisitorial Armor for he was in Power Armor.
-
"Hello. I was wondering if you happened to need another person in your forces."
-
"Sure..I guess, Are you allied with Chaos?" Said Ling.
-
"I am currently allied with no one."
-
"Then sure..But if you pull any bullshit tricks I will not be afraid to rip you arm off and beat the living shit out of your skull." Said Ling, Not even twitching.
-
"If you could catch me you'd be able to. I don't plan on pulling anything, so you won't have to."
-
"Then you and me are on good terms. The rest of the team is somewhere around here.."
-
"Guess I'll try to find them later."
-
The Inquisitor was accompanied by three very powerful beings. Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines, Saint Agnes, living saint of the Ebon Chalice, And last but absolutely not least, Eleanor Lancaster, Prime of the 7th Baltic Manticores, she herself was accompanied by her command squad. A Sargeant Medic, a Psyker Primaris, a Techpriest commander, a Comissar, a Kasrkin Bodyguard and finally, a Master Vox Operator. The trio approached him, feeling that their team would be a very balanced and powerful one.
-
Ling nodded as he stopped polishing his Incinerator to a shine. They noticed he was in Power Armor,He was serious about this. Ling nodded at them and slung his Incinerator. "It's rather settled then, But who is she?" He said pointing at Agnes.
-
"I am Saint Agnes, Holy Daughter of the God-Emperor, carrier of his faith." By the markings on her armour, he could tell she was a member of the Ebon Chalice, the oldest Sororitas coven of the Ordo Hereticus' chamber militant, the Sisters of Battle. She stood at around thirteen feet in height, but her wings allowed her to hover above the ground. She wielded a flaming sword, that was the exact same sword that the Emperor used to wield during his crusades.
-
"I wont question the wings." Said Ling. "It's settled. Though I have no idea why we are near Demon Scum."
-
"I think that, in this situation, we have no other choice. We do it for survival, Inquisitor. And only the strong survive..."
-
"Ah yes. Survival of the Fittest." He said, eyeing the other teams. "Oh shit it's that Ork." As ling noticed Godkillah.
-
Edited by Shadlezz: 5/22/2016 4:14:03 AMGuilliman eyes him over, as do the other team members. "Heh... I know that Ork. I once talked him into destroying a Necron invasion force for a jar of pickles." Says Eleanor.
-
"I nearly got killed by that Xeno." Muttered Ling, recalling the bare escape he made. "No time to get distracted though."
-
"As all Orks, he's a dangerous threat, but he's very stupid. He'll do anything you say as long as you give him some valuable loot in return."
-
"Alright." Nitos Cackling could be heard as he approached the Four. "My my my,who do we have here? Four people who are blind to the real threat, Themselves. Said the Gravelord, He was rather Tall, almost towering Guilliman.
