Too late.
A Necron Wraith was accompanying the patrol. It detected her, and alerted them to her presence.
Their gauss cannons began firing in her direction.

She rolls out of the way, sprinting into a small corridor, turning rapidly, running and weaving through corridor after corridor, the same rock walls. Everything looked the same... It all blended.

Edited by Shadlezz: 5/24/2016 2:00:48 AMQuickly, she got lost, and as if she had the worst luck in the world, she ran back straight into the patrol. This time, there was no escape. In surprise, Monica slipped and fell to the floor, her leg wounded. She would die here. Until a man in armour surged out of nowhere, planting a dagger in a Necron's throat. The body began to rust, dissipating into a fine dust. The wraith screamed in rage, charging the man with its razor-sharp claws. The man brought out a black blade that glowed with strange violet energy. Blocking the assault with his shield, he cleaved the Wraith clean in half, like a hot knife cutting through an even hotter slab of butter. When the other Necrons began to target him, the man stood still. Suddenly, seven purple runes burned into the ground around him in a circle. A strange voice that Monica couldn't understand began whispering from everywhere and nowhere at the same time, each of the runes lighting up. As each rune lit up one by one, a bolt of purple energy shot out of his body and struck a warrior, making it explode immediately. Once they were all dead, he rushed to Monica's side. He took off his helmet, revealing his face, who's handsome demeanor immediately struck Monica. "It isn't safe here. We have to move." He said, with an exotic and appealing accent. He held his hand out for her, to help her get back up.

Edited by cyberattaq: 5/24/2016 2:03:43 AMShe watched, shocked as the whole thing unfolded. She looked him in the eyes as he knelt by her side, she was scared, her leg felt broken, and she most likely couldn't stand. She took his hand, and got up, biting her lip at the pain. "Thank... Thank you..." She pauses. "Who are you... And why... Why did you help me?"
-
He put her arm around his shoulder to support her weight. "My name is Tulleesh Tibernes. And I save any poor soul I see. Especially the cute ones." He chuckles. "I don't know how I got here, but I'm assuming neither do you. Am I correct?"
-
Her face was red more from the pain than his nice compliment, she nods at his questions. "I've no idea..." She gasps in pain. Her leg needed to be set, it was distorted... And hurt more than anything. She tried to move it and she cried out, nearly blacking out.
-
"Whoa whoa whoa, don't strain yourself too much." He put her back down on the ground, kneeling besides her. "Here. I'll heal you." Three purple runes appeared around him, and the same voice began reading them out. He placed his hand over her broken bone, and small arcs of violet Lightning flew from his hand into her body. It felt warm, and suddenly, her bone was back into place, and already healing. A purple field kept hovering over her wound. "Here. It's a magical bandage. Don't try to get it off. The pain should have stopped by now." He looked back to her, looking her in the eyes. "What's your name?"
-
She smiles. ”Monica."
-
He smiles. "Pretty name, for a pretty lady." He helps her up, there was no pain anymore, although her leg still felt weak. For this, he helped her walk, carrying her weight by putting her arm around his shoulder.
-
She smiled at him, he was very nice. "So where to now?"
-
"We go west, like the broadcast said. I believe it may be a safe place. Or a trap. I suppose we'll find out, won't we?" He walks westbound with her.
-
She nods, walking with him.
-
"So, Lass, where're you from?"
-
"A hunk of floating metal in the depths of space.. That's where." She says with a smile.
-
"Born on a ship, eh? Interesting."
-
"A massive space station... Soon after we moved to what you would call a space ranch." She says.
-
"Ranchers, eh? So your parents lived the simple life. Good on them. I was born on our capital world, Andoria Prime. Straight from the jungle, I am." He chuckles. "Lived almost my whole life surrounded by green."
-
She laughs. "Yeah it's a wasteland out at home."
-
"Wasteland? How come?"
-
"It's just barren grasslands as far as you can see..." She says with a giggle.
-
"Aye, I suppose that might have some kind of peace to it." He looks suddenly ahead, stopping. "Hold on. I think we have company. Can you crouch down?"
-
She nods, she slowly lets herself down, her leg still stiff. "Ahh..." She gasps.
-
"Hold on, don't strain yourself." He closes his eyes and focuses as nine runes appear in a circle around him and her. Aftee each rune was read out separately, they were encased in some blurry glass that spanned the perimeter of the nine runes. He whispered to her. "Be very quiet. Although this makes us invisible, it doesn't make us soundproof."
-
She nods. She stays quiet, very quiet.
-
A patrol of Chaos marines stepped in front of them. They were 8 feet in height and bore chaotic markings on their armour. Their patrol eventually continued on their way. Once they were out of their field of vision, Tulleesh broke the chamber. "We'll have to keep the small talk for later, Lass. We need to get to that base ASAP." He whispered.
-
She nods, her eyes scared.
