laying in the pile of equipment, the man sees a chain sword and chest plate. with the unsettling feeling of being watched growing in intensity he knows he must arm himself. he walks toward the pile keeping an eye on the corridor ahead.
"how do I know I can trust you, and how do I know you're not lying to me?"
he asks the demon, which replies.
"you don't, but if you don't trust me. you're going to get us both killed."
the man hesitates.
"fine" the man says as he picks up the old weapon, "watch that corridor then. if you see anything... well just do something to warn me."
the man slides the chest plate over his head and tightens the straps, he then slides one gauntlet on to his right arm. it is the only one that may actually do some good. he raises the chain sword to check its fuel. there isn't much left but it will have to do.
"so D, do you know how the hell to get out of here?"
he asks the demon.
"I... do not. but I do know whatever is down that hall, is getting closer."

Edited by Immørtal Fulgrim: 5/25/2016 2:12:55 AMYou hear screaming as a man comes barreling through the fog, firing shots behind him at something obscured by the most. He slips and falls before you. His language is unrecognizable, but he points at a figure in the mist. More screams emanate from the fog but are cut short by a ripping and tearing sound - punctuated by a pool of blood that spreads on the floor. Something approaches.
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/149450321/0/0
A hulking, 13ft tall form condenses from the mist itself, stepping out of the fog and becoming solid before your eyes. His pale armor is splashed with fresh blood and inscribed with strange runes that pulse with evil energy... You immediately identify his origin and speciality: Alpha Legion Assassin. He draws twin plasma blades that ignite into white flames, crackling with energy. The man screams.

a name pops into the mans head, like a light switch turning on. Erik, that's his name. but that does not help with the situation. he slaps the man in the face and pulls him to his feet. "you." he points to the man with the gun. "shoot." he points to the gun. "that." he points to the hulking beast drawing closer to the two of them. he turns and raises his own weapon. "hey D, you have any special powers you can use to help us out here? or should I just run and leave this guy for dead?" the man other man raises his gun which trembles within his grip.
i haven't actually thought of power restraints for the demon so go ahead and give them to me. let me know what the demon can, and cannot do.

no limits. Have fun and be creative :)
Umbra bursts into a cloud of white gas, only to appear behind the man. A searing blade bisects the man, collar bone to groin - the body crumbles to the floor and Umbra turns towards you, glowing blue eyes casting conical rays in the fog like headlights. He stands to his full height as the fog envelops him. "I am Umbra, hunter of mortals... But you are no mortal..."

"I..." Erik nervously looks back and forth. "I am?" the demon manifests in front of him engulfed in flames. "did you seriously just ask this thing a question?" he thrusts his fist over his should pointing his thumb at the towering beast. "grow a pair and have some confidence so we don't get ripped in half!" Erik steps forward through the flames, the nervous expression fades from his face. "and I was using that." he points to the mangled corpse that lies on the fleshy floor.

Umbra looks at the mutilated body. "I required his soul." States Umbra matter of factly. Umbra's pale colored plate armor flexes strangely, and he adjusts his stance uncomfortably. "I hunger..." He says, his form becoming see through and wraith like, evaporating into fog. "More souls are this way." Umbra disappears, and the fog moves further down the hallway.

Erik looks to his side and sees the demon watching umbra move down the hallway. he shrugs and follows the beast. he jogs down the corridor behind the cloud of fog wondering where it is going, and questioning why he is following it. the organic matter that makes up the floor begins to dissolve, being replaced by black marble. the walls shift into stone and gothic designs. finally the corridor opens to a large cathedral. black torches lines the walls and a magnificent chandelier dangles from the ceiling hundreds of feet above their heads. in the middle of the room is a group of 3 figures. they stand on hind legs but Erik cannot make out what they are. umbra halts at the entrance to the chamber.
